I wanted to edit some of the maps like I used to do in vanilla by editing the .txt file. For me, this was simpler than using the galaxy editor. I'm trying to do this in rebellion but I can't for the life of me locate the galaxy file. I'm using Win7. Anyone know the file path? Thanks, Nuke

I play online and build custom maps as well as modify existing ones, it's just been a while, so I was mildly curious.

ok, well, sounds like your looking for a z-axis, that would be incredibly difficult.
Pirate caps would be very interesting to see late game, also, with all the destroyed hulks floating around, not to mention the years that have passed since the war started, it would be thoroughly concievable to see pirateships that are more than just based upon the TEC ships. Also, the boarding party idea has been thrown around a lot, and it's a good one. All that would need to happen is take the domination ablility and give it to a vessel type ro two. perhaps a form of a pirate boarding ship

Yes, it's on Impulse. If you don't have Impulse then click the downloads section on the top of the page and look for the download link for it. I'd recommend that you verify your serial numbers in Impulse if you ever lose your hard copy of the game.
Really though, the worst thing that will happen is you'll be called a "noob." However, the people on this forum and in the game itself are generally rather helpful and will come to your defense usually. Also, the files are going to be bitmap files (.bmp), i'd recommend you convert the files to a jpeg file (.jpg). You can do this in paint if you don't have any photo editing software. also. Shift will allow you to add units to the already selected, so Alt+Click fighters, Shift+Alt+click bombers and you'll have all SC selected.

I usually go military and pull out LRFs right off the begining, go after asteroids, quick expand and then go after the larger planet's i left behind.

no they're directly center in the starbase, i just set the rally point from the production facilities at this planet there.
