Reply to Phase jump Bug? in Sins of a Solar Empire Sins Forums

What is the whole deal with the wormhole feature? is this only in multi STAR system maps? I just played my first map, and I had issues with pirates and other enemies. I thought it would let me get to my planets faster but it didn't seem to do anything. I've been looking everywhere to no avail. help me cause I'm terribly ignorant :P
