ATTEMPT #3: The key difference is that I ran forward and grabbed planet A before the purple player could get it, skipping past a couple asteroids along the way just to make sure I'd get there first. This made ALL the difference; when things turned inevitably bad with the Red player, his fleet hit a fully-defended planet with a fully-upgraded starbase, instead of a lone base in an ally well. (Purple never turned on me, because he
There have been talks of releasing a boxed set of all 3 micro-expansions at retail outlets once all 3 have been released through impulse. This is not confirmed yet, afaik, but has been discussed.
The ai are more intuitive and are more fun to play against...and yes you can continue on after they surrender, but as stated above, they lose most of that intuitiveness. IMHO, there could be some small tweaks done to make it even better than it is. And if the devs decide to leave it as is...then hey, who are we to complain...you guys have made this game unbelievably awesome...It is by far my fav game. Keep up the good work.[e digicons]5*[/e]
do other people see your pic, or does their comp use their own? so youd look normal.
Nobody ever answered this. What happens on others CPU if you are in MP (of course, this would have to be in entrenchment now).
-Improved AI surrendering.
Devs, if you get a chance there are some great ideas and thoughts going on in this thread about a possible fix to the AI surrendering. As it is right now, the AI are surrendering way too early in the game and it is ruining some of the game play...just some thoughts. https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/341350/#2078650
To this I would answer that the AI should "offer" its surrender, which I could refuse because I want to glory in its miserable demise After that initial offer the AI shouldn't ask again, but I as the user can now demand its surrender at any time from that point onward.
which is pretty much what we were saying earlier in post #11 and I completely agree with this possibility and think that it would add some reall
The only thing is, now the AI is surrendering a lot earlier and when they aren't clearly beat. There should be an option to allow for that...some of us actually do like to mop up a little more.
HA...I finally beat Anny to an answer!!! Yes, I feel like I actually accomplished something today now.[e digicons][/e] [e digicons]\o/[/e]
Here's an idea: have the AI continue to play to the bitter end, but a player can "demand" a surrender at any time. If the AI has reached the current threshold at which it's surrendering (which is too early for some), then the AI will give in. Otherwise, the AI can say "screw you" and continue to fight. That way players could actually control when the AI surrenders, making everyone happy.
Actuall
Yes, it now installs everything in one folder and you can run both vanilla and entrenchment side-by-side.
This happened to me as well...I noticed that they "suppossedly" made the AI "smarter" in the sense of surrendering at the right times, but it seems like the AI just surrender too early now. The devs need to tone this down a little.
holy crap love9, you have alot of changes in store for you if you've still been playing on 1.05.
I think that too many people over-look the planet suction ability...it is ssssooooooo powerful. When I bomb a planet, it is with that ability only. once the affect wears off, I don't touch the planet until the cooldown period for the ability is over, then I do planet suction again...keep repeating this process until you have taken the planet down. The resources and credits that you steal are immensly helpful to your campaign.
I know it was done earlier, but makes way more sense to do it now... 99 bottles of beer on the wall... 99 bottles of beer... you take 1 down and pass it around... 98 bottles of beer on the wall.
yes, i was talking about the battleship rush.
Surely you would not think the original distributor and manufacturer of the aforementioned torches and pitchforks would leave himself defenseless against his own creations? *crawls into a tank* Pitchfork this!
touche' salesman...you win, and rather easily.[e digicons]:waaaa:[/e]
You have obviously never watched Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Check it out sometime if you get a chance...it's a 15 minute cartoon on Comedy Central. Funny stuff, if you like that kind of humour. And yes, you are right...Meatwad is his name and he is a meatball.[e digicons];)[/e]
Thx Ur-Quan, I used the link above and it worked for me in Firefox...but not in IE. Oh well at least I now have an avatar. +1 Karma for you, my friend.[e digicons]1*[/e] [e digicons][/e]
Well, let's be reasonable and give them a few days breather.
me thinks that you may want to be careful or we might turn those same pitchforks and torches against you.[e digicons]}:)[/e]
By the way Try, good post and I agree with your sentiments on the Vas starting strat completely...The egg at level 6 is so important to your entire game (unless your are playing a map with less than 10 planets...then I might approach the rush strat and forget about the egg.
what we all know is this: starting from scratch with full anti-matter a Jarrasul beats almost everything in 1v1.(maybe a Radiance can beat it) what we neglect to talk about is that fights enver start from scratch. a single cap ship can't be everywhere at once, particularly one as slow as a Colonizer cap. phase jumps happen. reinforcements happen. opponents with surprising strategies happen. i think the concensus that "egg i
