the AI can and will surrender when it decides it's had enough. I usually find this happens much later than i'de like. Interesting that it's happening sooner to you. You must really be getting ahead of them before coming with the stompy stompy. I'm sure if you just hit Keep Playing after it gives up you can keep batting it around like a cat with an injured mouse. And i think it will keep trying to fight, it won't just lie there like my ex-girlfriend.
Interesti
Probably their planets got neutralized by influence.
Probably not, since they were still very much under their own. So much their own that in one case, after he had been eliminated, I had to station 4 capital ships over a planet for over 30 minutes to be able to colonize it. I suppose the part of the original post that said he had only lost a single planet was in someway unclear. What I meant was, he had only lost one planet, and he still had five planets under h
It's been happening in almost every game I play now. Granted, it usually only happens when they are down to 2 or 3 planets left, this was an extreme case. Anyone have any ideas? Perhaps I could get a replay of that particular game. Additonally, it usually happens after I have decimated their fleets/capital ships, although on one occasion it happened after I retreated out of a computers home system and he still had over half of his fleet remaining.
Yes, here.
Sweet, thank you sir. Delay noted, official like people.
Patch notes. Are they out yet?
If you continue firing at a neutral world, you can prevent anyone else from colonizing it. (Hostile Culture is too Strong.) Additionally one shot puts 50 culture/sec for a time on the target. That is roughly equal to 4-5 Temples of Communion.
No, I've known about it from the first day playing the game. Thought it was odd that the game even started. My question is... why would you do this? What's the point? You don't really play the game this way. EDIT: Oh, So you're stat-padding. Again, whats the point? Stats don't make you better, might make someone THINK you're better, in which case they'll overestimate your skill and play harder. Which is good, I guess. However, that's an iffy conclusion. Additionally, i
.....Why would you do this?
Title states my question. The reason I ask is because I thought it was when they lost all their planets. However, I just played a game where a computer quit after losing a single planet- that doesn't make sense? Why would he quit when he lost only his furthest outlying planet?
Depends on how I'm feeling- however, I don't typically play the same pre-made map twice in a short period of time. So I suppose I would lean towards random.
RIP Farscape.
Nice ordered list, easy to respond to. (1) Highlight your fleet supply (top center, left of resources) should bring a drop down list like you want. (2) Artifacts are automatic. However, there are two forms of "artifacts." The first being a planet resource (penal colony) is a buff for that planet/gravity well only. The second is an actual artifact, you'll know when you get one of these. Theres a unique sound and the planet that found the artifact will have a new symbol
You guys are missing his point- He's saying the Dunov (apparently) does more damage from a frontal attack in practice, when the numbers would indicate the highest damage output is from a broadside attack. 12DPS from front, 16.1666~DPS from broadside. At least, if I'm understanding DrathKar correctly. I don't play TEC so I cannot speak the validity of his statement, other than what you guys have already pointed out.
We could also add, a selcet all ships of the same type, to the fleet AI. That way, you don't have to go to each ship in that fleet, and turn off the same auto cast, for the same type of ship, for the entire fleet.
Turn on stacking in the left hand sidebar. Use the shift key.
I have seen something... similar to this, it happens when the game starts to lag severely. You click a button, but then move your mouse and it hits a button your mouse scrolls over. IF you are experiencing severe lag when this occurs, try using the keyboard short-cuts. Or hover the mouse until you get confirmation that the command went through.
Space Ponies are the stuff of legends. Occasionally, rarely, if you meet the proper conditions. A space pony will appear and act as sort of a buff to your Flagship. Do get the achievement pertaining to them, you have to get a squadron of 5 space ponies to assist your flagship. Good luck! I hope that helps!
I see what you're saying, however, that highlights my complaints about the AI. If a player has to adjust their style of play to accommodate the AI, then the AI needs to be fixed. Perhaps even reworked entirely. The game might be designed to play smaller maps ( 200 planets) as well.
Radiance. ....Maybe the Halcyon. Both looks and usefulness.
Pit an Advent fleet with a Progenitor (Malice) an opposing Advent fleet with a number of Iconus Guardians (More than 5 is ideal). Let the auto casts go off and go read a book, because you can't do anything in game now.
It's all been downhill since Lexx went off the air.
I miss Lexx.
Focus firing is not a bad trait, in point of fact, it is the fastest way to eliminate strong units. However choosing the right units to focus fire and the right times to focus fire are key. Choosing between focus and free fire modes is not something I would expect of an AI, but slightly more intelligent selection of targets would be good. Repair stations before hangers? or the fleet doing the damage rather than the hangers doing almost nothing. Destroying phase jump inhibitors before ju
To preface this, I have been playing this game for a month or so now. Predominately against AI opponents, typically 4 or more "unfair." My style of play, and how I enjoy the game the most, is to play long games with lots of colonizable planets. If a SINS game lasts less than 4 hours, it was too small. Additionally, I play the Advent the most- they fit my style of play best, with their strong capital ships. The main issues I have with the AI, are the fights they choose to stay in (very few
I actually read it now.. or at least enough of it to get the premise of what you're doing. I personally dislike the idea, I don't want bizarre random chance events ruining a hard.. but winnable battle. I think you need to tone down the lethality of a lot of these "malfunctions." For a mod, it may be interesting. However, I would not personally play it with any regularity. Random chance events with major effects ruin games, in my opinion. If there were a way to control these eve
Why did you use such a large font, it's like the entire thing is emphasized. It can't all be emphasized. That ruins the entire point of emphasizing.
