Probably their planets got neutralized by influence.
Umm, the OP didn't say anywhere that he hasn't played the game yet, infact, I got the distinct impression that he HAS played the game...
Look at the last sentence.
(Unless the vendor has some twisted sick sense of humor.)
Actually one of my favorite restaurants does that. ;)
Don't tell me to download the DEMO first either, I learned that lesson already
You learned nothing since you did not even play this game at all.
What the hell is MOO2 anyway?
Wow, with this, we can make a realistic version of our solar system.
I am pretty sure Stardock and Ironclad games said that they will add stories in the expansion.
Oh, I really hate games require CD/DVD to play. It always kills drives. :/
Danmon, can you tell me how to disable new races in the mod? I have some problems with them.
Sins of Solar Empire is the game which can be played on much low-end machine. You will have no problem with the highest setting.
....Anyone realizes that this game will have same DRM used in Mass effect, which will require activation every 10 days? This is ridiculous. http://www.theinquirer.net/gb/inquirer/news/2008/05/07/mass-effect-wins-award-worst-pc
The best solution is set this forum as official (which already is) and move all the posts of gpg to here.
Well. I'd say it is way too small to notice.
I already wrote my response in SINs forum. https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/307025/page/4 The key I want to mention is: mod tools.
A subscription system will not work. The others have already explained well so I will not go further. Mini-expansion system would be good. Available in digital download (so the cost for distribution can be minimized) and acceptable contents; people will buy it. But again, nothing is effective as mod tools. A powerful mod tools with nice SDK will make the game last much longer than you thought. -wnmnkh-
Uzii, I played a game with your mod for a while, and I think "Deadly Secret" bonus is a bad idea.
So I have this issue when I'm in a LAN with two other people:WWW LinkIt happens after we've been playing for about 5-10 minutes and causes a CTD. All of us have 1.3a.That just means your game crashed. Like I posted before, it's unlikely Plus really has to do with anything. Try turning off bloom, or reducing Highest graphics to High, or downloading the new nVIDIA forceware.
Just to say new Forceware does not fix the problem. I am currently using 174.74, which came out 3 da
I checked all of the textures, and it is clear that textures are not the one crashing the game. Well, that Highest High can create non-graphical issues is funny as hell. ^^; Something is wrong on the game's codes even before talking about this mod. Well, this is what I will try if I can. I will try reconstruct the mod progressively, like.... 1.) Just merely add new planets 2.) Give them abilities 3.) Add grave yard 4.) Add all of planet bonus.<br/
I am still digging about this issues and there is one thing I can confirm now. It is now a graphical issue. It is code issue. Say, in highest detail, I actually see planets via preview mod (and the game crashes after a while.) And the game has no problem to show custom planets on the main menu as well. I did little testing; I renamed the planet texture files to original files (like putting industrial planet textures to ice planet. So in game, I see a ice planet with in
....why do we need to sell this game though much inferior platform/system? I use Steam too for CS:S and other games, but you know what? it sucks, and has tons of errors (you will encounter those errors once you buy non-Valve games from Steam) I am looking forward to Impulse.
When you first installed the 7zip, it does not automatically connect the all compressed files types to 7zip. You need to do that manually. Install 7zip, click the 7z file, and Windows will ask you for the program to run. Go to Program Files, go to 7-zip folder, and select '7zFM' as program to run. You will be able to uncompress the files.
I want to ask all of you who experience game crashes.... which video card do you have? I have Nvidia M8600GT.
Just to be thankful that we have a publisher who takes care of patches seriously as it should. Look at the patch progresses of Supreme Commander and Dawn of War by THQ, the difference is day and night.
ok, the good thing is that the mod now runs perfectly fine in planet detail setting 'high' (it still crashed before reboot.) At least the game does not crash, so I think I can live with that. ;)
OK, I rebooted, restarted, and the game still crashes. But this time, I got the debug log. ----code---- [16: 6:11] Failed to convert '' to an enum value.
