im running a auzentech x-fi forte sound card on win7 x64 and, through creatives Alchemey software, would like to know if sins even supports EAX or anything of the sort. any info will be appreciated

Well. after trying everything i again redownloaded the CCC Suite package from ATI, even though ive done this numerous times. I uninstalled the display driver and CCC with the Suite, rebooted into safe mode and used driver sweeper to clean out any stray files from previously. Then rebooted normally and installed CCC and the display driver. Ever since, 0 minidumps and no compatability mode. Must have been using driver sweeper to clean out the driver files that made the difference, other than th
I think this is great, once nvidia releases the 380, get a 290 for 50 bucks less
I'd still get a 380 for $50 more over a gtx295 either way. DX11 capability, probably use less energy, and ill always side with a single gpu card over a dual gpu card (gtx295, 4870x2) b/c their easier to cool, better overclockers, fewer potential problems than sli / crossfireX. Im still debating on whether to go ATI or nvidia when

I have a thermalright 120 extreme (TRUE 120) cooling a q9550 overclocked to 4.02 ghz for almost a year now. After lapping the TRUE 120's base (Youtube it for info), load temps from p95 large n small FFT max out at 45°C with ambiant room temp at 75 F or so. Just a FYI, you can have the TRUE 120 mounted vertically so that the air is being blown out the rear of the case instead of into ur psu. I use a antec 900 of which the psu is on the bottom so ive neve had that issue come up. I just rece

I fixed the random mini dump issue, atleast for my system. I used the .82 full download file and i copy+pasted "Bailknight-Entrench" particle, particle effects, texture animation and texture files into the .82 mod folder. Been working 100% since w/o mini dumps unless its from my own doing. I attempted the same procedure starting with the .7 full DL files patched to the newest version but had no success. With the working files, can run a match flawlessly w/ all the entity files converted to te

yeah, i should have been more specific about the issue. regarding chip size. I thought both ATI and nvidia are using the 40nm manufacturing process for their gpu's. I follow ATI products more closely since im running a 4870 atm and i prefer intel mobo chipsets over nvidia's so SLI was out of the question with my current mobo (x48 chipset). regardless of manufacturing issues for either side, what do u think about the actual specs for the upcoming cards?

I was doin some research on whether i should add a 2nd 4870 1gb to my computer setup or wait for the next generation of cards and came across these sites. These are the supposed specs of the soon to be released DX11 gpu's from nvidia (gtx 380) and ATI (5870 and 5870x2) specs have been leaked and/or released. just a heads up to people experiencing random crashes and minidumps with this mod who used the patching method from older versions. Since using the full version download, the crashes and minidumps stop unless i do some entity tweaking, but thats from my own doing. I dont know if this helped but i also pasted the bailknight-entrench particle, pipeline effects, texture animation and texture files over the originals. Again dont know if it helped solve the problem but i can finally finish a game

the first C&C is what got me playing video games in the first place. Red Alert and the following 2 expansions were just as awesome as the prior, then along came EA....... Forced the C&C name to veer from the tried and true way of things to things that to me, were a huge disappointment. ( I pray the same fate falls upon Bioware ).

Your dual core processor will suffice for the time being. IMO, if you were to choose between the q6600 and q9550 for overclocking, the choice would have to be the q9550. Its 45nm, unlike the q6600 which is 65nm, runs much cooler and the E0 stepping revision gives huge amounts of overclocking headroom. To get a significant overclock and not worry about u burning out ur processor, aftermarket air cooling is a must. Here is a good site to help with that choice <a href="http://www.frostytech.com/

Heres my system: q9550 quadcore oc'd to 3.85ghz 1.25v (1.2v stock), 4gb corsair dominator @ 1081mhz, ati 4870 1gb oc'd to 800 core, 955memory, p5e deluxe x48 mobo, auzen x-fi forte 7.1 sound card, corsair 750w psu, antec 900 case w/ aftermarket, high cfm fans and playing on a 24" moniter @ 1900-1200. I stress tested my entire system for 24hours w/ prime 95 small fft (cpu) and later blend. Ran memtest for my memory settings. I dont believe its my hardware, atleast hopenot. I thought id

I recently reformatted my drive and installed windows 7 64bit on my gaming rig and since then the game crashes, not minidumping, once im roughly 45min to 1.5 hours into a match. My questions are: Is anyone else experiencing the same problems with win 7 and sins? If so and u happen to be running sins in compatability mode, which one is it? Im 100% positive its not my hardware malfunctioning nor drivers issues as well. My machine also is beyond powerful enough for it and ive been getting c

Danman and/or Thoumsin, ive been looking through the alpha files and noticed all the textures from 2.1 are present. now are they entrenchment ready or are they there for conversion purposes still. And also if needed, i have entrenchment ready mesh's and textures of the Beta Kol and Beta Marza of the TCA. Near 100% positive they're good to go. Let me know if u guys still need em.

Jason, a job well done once again. I have found something that doesnt quite make sense regarding cap's with the heavy fighters ability. The damage buff the ability applies only does so with physical damage, ie only the bombers recieve the damage buff. I dont know if this was planned/known but i thought id bring it up to you. Another thing, any word on replacing the shield mesh's for the cap ships? And lastly, i am putting the finishing touches on integrating manshooters particle effects and e
I had this problem at the beginning when i got windows 7. If you have an Nvidia video card there is a pre realease driver that you need to install. then it should stop minidumping. If you have another video card they might have a driver but im not sure. hope this helps.
System specs: q9550 @3.85ghz, 4gig ddr2 ram @ 1081 mhz, x48 mobo, ATI 4870 1gb, Auzen Forte X-fi sound card (awesome upgrade compared to onboard sound, believe me), and a 640 gig 3gb/s sata hd

Hello there. as a fellow overclocker i have to give some congrats to a nice OC on that phenom. I personally went with an intel q9550, so i apologize about this being off topic but i wanted to give some input. I would take readings from asus probe 2 with a grain of salt since ive read from numerous forums in the oc community (ocforums, com, overclocker.net to name a few) that the software is a POS and doesnt take temp readings from the on die thermo's. Also, using P95 for a stability testing, a

I dont mean to steal the thread but im starting to constantly run into mini dumps and crashes in win 7 x64, no matter what mod i use or if any for that matter. Anyone have a suggestion on what compatability i should be running it at?
