I'm looking at buying a new laptop. At the moment my laptop can run Sins on a medium size map (50 planets max) with maximum graphics and normal fleet sizes. I think my current specs are an I7 or I5 at 1.6 Ghz, Video card is Nvidia 240M Anything beyond this and it starts to chug mid game onwards. Basically my dream is to have my laptop that's able to play a max size map (140 planets or so) 10 players and large fleet sizes with max graphics.

do the scouts need to be upgraded with timed explosives or anything? or do u just send 5 scouts against 5 illuminators and expect them to win??
the reason port fawarding is not just a simple thing to explain is because everyones modem pc system etc i.s.p is different, so you need to work out "your" system and fix it.... i just went to http://portforward.com/ and found my modem in the list, then it explained to me step by step how to port foward... very easy
yeah that sounds really good, i have TS
thanks for your help monk, i will need to spend the time and configure it properly :)
I just need a quick simple answer if possible 1) I've set up a static I.P on my computer 2) I've fowarded the ports required to play Sins 3) I can now play Sins online The problem I am having is I can no longer join or create any lan games what so ever???? (completely offline) Our computers can see the other computer, but when clicking connect, it comes up with a "failed to connect to server" All firewalls are

I just had a match against an LRM spammer, i defeated him by spamming fighters and bombers from light carriers, while having a few heavy ships for him to concentrate firing upon... so, it can be done though my economy was almost twice his!
I think it's fairly safe to say that it just needs to be re-designed. The best example I can think of is the game World in conflict. where each unit is only effective at fighting one other unit etc etc... planes kill tanks, tanks kill infantry, infantry are balanced... so Lrms kill defense structures - but weak at attacking frigates frigates kill lrms - but weak at attacking caps caps & fighters are balanced Its very obvious what im trying to say and perhaps
It seems to win a game of sins all one needs to do, is have enough resources to pump out billions of long range frigates, and the games over... all semi decent players only follow this trend, and i believe that it makes having the other 20 types of ships in the game pointless? particularly capital ships, who the hell would bother building them when you could just build 15 illuminators instead? this is a serious flaw in the game that pretty much makes it just a zergling rush type affair, i kno
pray to god 1.5 has fixed multiplayer crashes! :HOT:
guys im a humble gamer that plays once a week, i dont know how to do any of the test version etc, im sorry.. also i dont actually know any friends or people that would be willing to play the test version with me to try it out.. (not many people in australia seem to be playing this game) i hope those who are able can do the test version, they will find the mini dump problem, out comes version 1.05, and i'll be able to try this game online for the first time since i bought it..
I have been playing sins single player and have never had any form of problem, as soon as ive tried to play online it crashes at some stage of gameplay! ... infact ive tried about 5 online games now, and allll of them have crashed! as opposed to my 200 single player games that have all run perfectly? clearly the issue is multiplayer only related and needs to be fixed... today when it crashed, it came up with a message that said "mini dump" error something... im running the latest version 1.04 an
maybe someone should look at banning "yoadjla" the 2nd post in this thread, from ever being aloud to post anything on these forums again? isnt that why u have forums, to ask questions? if it bothers you that much, why would u say anything?
Sins will be coming out here in Australia tommorow and my friends and I are looking faward to a few battles online together, i have a quick question : ive noticed games can take along time and is it possible to actually save multiplayer games? so a game with a few friends may last weeks?
thanks for your help, i may be waiting a few weeks more, its a shame because the demo has gotten very borring :NOTSURE:
Just a quick question, I’m in Australia and sins won’t be coming out for another few weeks, I’m keen to have the game now and I’ve noticed that I can download the game from the sins website, I hav
thanks
just a quick question, i know the tutorials exsist and i have played them.. sometimes when i go to colonise a planet, there "isnt enough antimatter" this is using a coloney frigate. or sometimes there is enough antimatter to build an extractor but not enough to colonise the planet... however left over time, i beleive it recharges by itself, and then can be eventually used, is there anyway to speed up the recharging of antimatter? or what actually makes it?
