During one of the tutorials it told me I could assign squads to number keys.. I forgot how I do that.. Can anyone tell me how to assign and remove them... And is this the same thing as making fleets?

OK guys thanks a lot.. Now the question is I've been playing for a while and got like 3 planets. But when I look at the graphs (the once that shows when i try to exit) my credit loss due to planet underdevelopment is very high... What can I do to minimize this??
I just started playing my first single player game and I have a few questions. So I started building on my home planet now I can build any capital ships b/c I dont have enough fleet supply. So is there any way to increase this number? I'm not talking abot modding. B/C when I was searching the forum I came across posts about modding to change it. And also what about Capital Ship Crews? Are these numbers are fixed or can I increase them by like research and stuff.
