What does having played through 1.03 with Advent have to do with whether or not it needs nerfing? If it's overpowered, then it's overpowered. Doesn't really seem logical... And don't forget that Kenrak takes 6 supply too. Kenrak only has phase reduction, which is negligible in the earlygame, and a bit of synergy with subverter (tier 5).

Illums overpowered, nerf please! removing/heavily nerfing the side lasers would be ideal. Lrm and assailant are fairly easy to out-micro (just dance or charge the ff'd unit through their formation) but illums dont even bother; Flying into the middle of your formation to get all 3 lasers to hit is unfair, because they can advance while shooting , yet your ships can't withdraw and shoot at the same time (you can do this in homeworld though:SURPRISED:), nor do most ships have aft-mounted w
In multiplayer, it's usually a good idea to stick with one capital ship (scuttling the cap ship facilty after the first cap comes out) in the arms race. And it is an arms race. Like starcraft, if your enemy scouts and sees no units home, they're gonna come and take out your infrastructure; research labs are fairly high priority targets that will set back a player significantly if they're lost early on. So if that happens, you can either defend and repel him, or counter-attack:C
did anyone notice that the sound the gauss defence turret makes when you select it, is nearly identical to the sound a terran bunker makes when a unit enters it? ditto with terran dropship loading sounds. a [I]stretch[/I] would be to claim the numerous verbal were more than 'homages' made by several of the capital ships. stuff like "Good day, commander" and the numerous terran ghost quotes, i think there's a kerrigan and duke quote there too. this is irrelevantly
