You have to go to Options/Mods in game and click "Show Mod Path" That will create the folder for mods. If I remember correctly, you'll need to restart the game for them to show up after you stick them in the folder.

I've been working on a mod that increases the resource gain rate and the number of asteroids present. So far that has worked. But when I was testing it, I tried to form a fleet, but it keeps crashing as soon as I press the button. Any ideas why this might be happening? *Fixed*
I have sins installed on my dad's computer because it wont work on my laptop. It ran fine for the first week. I go to play it today and it keeps crashing. Nothing has changed on my computer at all. I tried it with mods enable and unenabled and keeps crashing.... Its really starting to tick me off.
I downloaded the mod tools and started working on my own. I got it mostly done but when I go to enable it to test it out, the game frezes. Is there something wrong with the mod or is there a problem with the game. It wouldn't let me alt-tab or end the game with task manager. I had to resort to restarting the computer. Any help with this matter will be greatly appreciated.
