I'd outsource the job to a company called Stardock, because I definitely don't have enough experience to change this game for the better.

Hey guys, didn't you hear? The games you play determine your social status! It's true! Pay no attention to the fact that both consoles and PCs have games that cater to the lowest common denominator (WoW and Halo). Pay no attention to the fact that both consoles and PCs have their share of awesome and classic games (Starcraft and Resident Evil 4). Pay no attention to the fact that there are driveling morons abound on both gaming spectrums. The tools you use to have fun are [I]serious busine
[insert inflammatory statement regarding games and OSX/Windows (pick one) here] It just wouldn't be an OS discussion thread without it.
To everyone else, there's no need to say stuff like 'just dual-boot Windows' because that misses the entire point of asking for a Linux-compatible game.
I'm not sure how that misses the point. Asking for a game won't do anything, because there's little profit in developing a game for a niche community. The real method for obtaining mainstream games on Linux is to advertise Linux, make it easy to use, heavily develop the OS, etc. Linux users can potentially do this thanks to open
Seriously I see people everyday so frustrated with how windows is. Then you show them Linux and it works so much better.
My Linux friend actually deleted/corrupted critical Windows files while trying to get the bootloader working on my computer after I installed a Linux partition. Plus my network drivers didn't work with Linux, so I was forced to perform a factory image reset on my computer due to lack of internet support. Said friend also spent a better part o
I'm relatively new to the game, so I only played one game against unfair AI on v1.03 and one game against it on v1.04, but I've noticed marked improvement in the AI. I actually felt proud of my win in v1.04, since after I took out one AI, I was left with a weaker opportunistic AI that required constant defense, and a strong powerhouse that required the use of the fleet that I was using to defend. I tried attacking one AI, and the other attacked me without second thought. To make matters worse
Play short games on easy (or medium, if you don't mind losing at first) until you get a handle on it. Once you can beat the game against an easy or normal opponent, move up an AI level and play another short level. Repeat with Hard AI and Unfair AI. I was pretty well versed in the game mechanics by doing this, although you can start playing long games against Hard AI after you've beaten them in a short game.
Joking aside, the most foolproof solution would be to make a windows partition on your computer solely dedicated to windows programs. It doesn't have to be much, maybe 20gb if you have XP and a couple games. With today's harddrive sizes, that should be pocket change.
This game isn't on Linux because nobody likes Linux. :<
But it needs to be inversely proportional to an exponential function. You mean logarithmic???
No, he means exponential. A diminishing returns system based on a logarithmic graph would let a couple more repairs cycles be stacked upon a ship before the stacker saw heavy penalties for stacking. However, a system based on an exponential graph would see immediate and heavy penalties. --EDIT-- Whoops, thought this was on the first page when I replied. A
