People asked for a release.. there was a release. Patience is needed while Eville Jedi makes it better. Heck, he could use the help. You can go to the official site - http://warlords.swrebellion.com - and help out, make reports for bugs, etc. Like Warlords for HW2, I expect slow but steady progress. You won't get quick rapid updates, after all Eville Jedi is just one man, but you will get consistency. Few projects last as long as Warlords, the Sins version will be no different.
<br

both dubaian and aeroa1 have excellent points: being able to play as the forerunners (or the a.i.) would be a fan-fic'en-tastic, even (or maybe especially) because the designs would be fan-made. on the other hand, using the rings, as aeroa pointed outed, would be suicidal. what could work is if you were to replace the dead asteroids with mini-Halos as critical choke points(and, yes, there is no indication that there is a mini-Halo in canon, but the UNSC has mini nukes, so why not?). you
So powerful it completely erases all non-Xin data on your hard drive, leaving them the sole masters of your computer.
that might raise some suspicions: right after the mod comes out, all fans/contributors disappear from the 'net? it's a conspiracy!!!!
MachinaManic, the Xin Titan can wipe out that fleet in one shot. No need to freeze them.
hehehe :D i hope my computer doesn't just explode trying to keep up with this thing's awesomeness also, very nice effects on the minelayer. the credits...lol
you know what might work? Unyielding Hierophant from First Strike, the refit station that John's team had to take out here's a description, courtesy of Halopedia
The Unyielding Hierophant is shaped like an eight, with two tear-drop shaped bulbous sections connected at the center, each 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) long which makes it 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) total. A rotating ring is connected to the central hub, and is used by Covenant cruisers and carriers to dock with the
Tornadoes? I thought Charter only operated here in New England...Although their business model allows them to settle anywhere, really.
There was a paper in the South about how Charter was the WORST (in a public opinion survey) in customer satisfaction...of any company...ever. That should tell you something. As DarkKnight pointed out, there are some advantages to cable in inclement, but that's more true for cable in general that Charter specifically.
What about opening a huge rift in the space-time continuum and transporting a Titan ship across hundreds of thousands of light years, straight from the Xin Homeworlds where they have spent centuries maturing into behemoths they are now?
dude, what if you made space-time continuum rifts a special ability of the titan. like, it's surrounded by an enemy fleet and then bwooop the whole enemy fleet is frozen for like thirty seconds that you can spend wailing away on them. i'm
david, you beat me to it; the Xin do seem to combine protoss elegance from starcraft with the creepy biotech of the yuuzhan vong from the star wars NJO series. that said, this mod is starting to look like the perfect storm of awesomeness: new race, new gameplay mechanics, new outposts...great! i can't wait for its completion!
well, the Andromeda Strain theory makes sense: the creators of the miniseries totally BOTCHED Crichton's amazing book, so it follows that it could be the downfall of an alien race as well...
yeah, that's the thing: i don't subscribe to fileplanet either. would you please make your mod available from a free website such as filefront? that would be great
wasn't Supreme Commander based on TA? and what do you guys think of it?
here's something to consider as a third faction: the Browncoats. if you set the mod to coincide as a "prologue" to the series, roughly simultaneous with the Battle of Serenity, the Advent and Vasari would be good starting points for BCs/Feds and TEC would be ideal to convert to Reavers (with some diabolical skinning, of course) another thing to consider would be an "epilogue" to the movie, since the truth about Miranda could cause a rebellion. a BC revival, if you will.
thanks annatar, that fixed it
When I put a copy of a user created (both my own and others') map in the "Galaxies" folder described in the instructions, and try to load it, something goes screwy. The map appears in the pregame menu, I set up a SP match, and it loads...but it doesn't load. When the "loading" bar is complete, a "mission failed" message pops up, and when I select "keep playing" there's nothing visible. Nothing. I zoom in and out, change my viewing angle, rotate around, and there's nothing but empty spa

surprise, another halo fan on sins! i've been thinking about "how awesome would a halo mod be for sins?" and lo and behold i stumble upon this thread. i'm not a modder, but i do have a knack for planning and details, and here's one of the first things i thought of (after ships and such): balence vs canon. on the one hand, it's easy (or at least possible, through testing) to figure out different ship classes for various races with their own strengths and weaknesses. on the other
yeah, mods make games more fun and increase their replayability for sure; actually (hate to reopen an old wound here) i found some for EAW that were better than the game as a whole and were a fanboy's dream; some almost doubled the number of ship types, most of them pretty cool. okay. that's all i wanted to say. any flamers out there looking to argue with me on a game that's already had pretty much everything said about it, buzz off; i don't really care. i just wanted to make the commen
Dios...mio...this is looking awesome! I'm no modder, but I just got sins the other day, and I've been a fan of star wars forever, so if you guys need beta testers for this, I'd like to volunteer. I also have all those "essential guide" deals, so if you want extra info on ships, people, etc., I can help with that to. Or, if you guys have that under control already, I'll just wait for the final version Either way, keep up the great work!
