Considering most of the Vasari nicknames have to do with food (Space turnip, Space egg) I think we should nickname the rebel titan as something edible. I vote the space romaine.

It's kinda like how you resurrect heroes in other RTSes... I like it! I think it would be easier if it was coded into the foundry itself though. It could keep track of the Titan's level, and as it leveled up increases the price to rebuild by, oh, say 1500cred, 200metal, 150crystal/level. Considering the significant cost of the foundry, I think that you shouldn't lose levels if you lose it... The cost of building another + rebuilding titan would make up for that. Ju
Ah, I think I might know what the problem is. After a ship uses an ability, it then picks something to auto-attack. Capital ships have this happen to them too. I usually just wait for the ability to complete, or queue an attack command by holding shift. It's a bit annoying, since you'd think the ship would continue going after whatever you told it to work it's wonders on...
The Eradica is beautiful. I just wish it's designs matched your faction color. Oh well. The ALT's "face" is super creepy though (in a good way). It's like an angel with a demon's face.
They also have a tech that allows them to make a small amount of money from destroying enemy capital ships and structures. Using the Kostura to warp your fleet to the enemy's main logistics hub is just plain dirty (but sooooo much fun [e digicons][/e] ) And their scouts allow for easy neutral capturing. Other races have to risk expensive colony ships. Their Vulkoras Devastator is a planetary wrecking ball. Couple it with the evacuator and you can wipe out planets in
Perhaps make the stolen ships not cost supply points? The chance of a ship being stolen is so low (5%) that the likelihood of someone amassing a huge fleet of stolen ships is very low, and provided you maintain good scouting practices it should be counterable. However, if they use the same coded function between this and the Titan's stealing ability, and this may not work. The titan would be more reliable at getting a large fleet on it's side... If this isn'
It was a race of hyper-intelligent pan-dimensional beings that were sick and tired of their experiments getting destroyed five minutes before readout.
What if the pirates sorta took a leaf out of the Vasari Loyalist's book? If the pirate homeworld is destroyed, all remaining pirate forces form up in as big a fleet as they can manage, and move against a randomly chosen planet. If they bombard it to death, it turns into the new pirate homeworld. If they're wiped out, they're gone as normal. So if you take out the pirate homeworld with a novalith, you now have a gigantic fleet to worry about. If you do it the conven
Sorry for the thread necromancy, but I've done a bit more testing. The switch in which capital ship is head seems to be triggered by assigning it a control group (ctrl + number) and it switches randomly. Also, in groups with 3 or more capital ships only the first two are targetable by using tab (the one you start on and 1 more). The others have to use shift + tab in order to target. In other words, I think they're being placed at the end of the array (provided control group in
I suppose having the right mix of defenses might allow you to take on the other fleet with an equal-sized "ball of death" (if I may borrow Ryat's term). However, I believe most of the MP community would prefer to spend the resources on getting a bigger death ball rather than on static defenses (which can be avoided until an opportune time). As for single player, though, I don't think this unbalancedness is too bad. I think it's mostly a multiplayer problem, though I have b
Hey, I'm fine with LRF countering LF. It just seems they over-counter them to the point that it makes it more difficult to field LF for their purpose than it's worth (at least for MP games. Single player's a different animal).
The way the LRF hard-counters the LF is that their damage type gets some sort of bonus vs the armor type of the light frigate, correct? What if we went with Volt's suggestion and reduced that value slightly in some sort of a mod? We would have to see if that messed up any other ships/counters though... And yeah, scratch my EA idea. Was kinda half-baked anyways. A bonus to mitigation might be good, but you still have that max cap to deal with (which under continued fire, the radian
What if EA converted energy damage to shield regeneration? Not a lot of it, maybe 10% max or so. That would make it sort of like a Kol, but not completely (still vulnerable to phase missiles for instance). It could also help a bit with survivability for animosity. I like the suggestion for phase missile swarm. I always thought it was odd that phase missile research doesn't affect that ability. I think 30s is a tad too long though. Perhaps 10-15 seconds with a (slightly) reduced co
The advent loyalists have a tech that they can research that's supposed to spread culture from all of their planets automatically. Problem is, it seems they're jumping the gun on which planets they think are "theirs" and so the culture spreads from every planet... I'm hoping it gets fixed next patch...
Perhaps if the code governing the casting of the ability checked if the ship was in combat and other ships were unbuffed? Right now I think it just checks for unbuffed ships.
It appears that Talion saviors can be replicated by Return of the Fallen for constructing a starbase. Can anyone reproduce this?
I personally think "Vasari Sad" is amazing.
After the latest update, the Guardians keep casting shield projection whether or not it's needed. I've had them parked in a gravity well with no enemy ships in sight and they cast it anyways. Anyone else getting this? Oh, and occasionally they can move while channeling the projected shield.
I have to agree with Mr. Haze. I almost cried when the Entrenchment Trailer music wasn't made into the main menu theme (or even included in any of the game files). With any luck they might include it as Vasari music... But I'm too hopeful [e digicons]^_^[/e]
Don't the TEC get a few nasty toys to chuck at Titans? I'm not a full-time advent player, but I have noticed a bit of difficulty getting a titan's AM down (cough TLT cough)
With the upcoming release of Rebellion we're seeing an influx of Sins players, but (as many of the older generation of players have grumbled) we don't really have a good wiki to support all of their questions. Although I've seen a few modders state that you can get the info you need from the program files, not everyone has the capacity (or the patience) to do that. What I would like to propose is we give the Wiki a much-needed kick-start. Get a bunch of people riled up, st
I think maybe a sort of modifier to NexiKuro's suggestion might be good: Have it work in much the same way it does now, except that you don't die at the end of the duration. Any regenerated/healed hull/shield/AM you keep. Once the passive procs, though, it goes on a 3min cooldown before it can be used again. This sort of turns killing the titan into a 3-phase fight: the initial push, then removing the fleet support while the titan "thrashes", then the kill. I think thi
Is there any way to test if the ship model is off and not the shield?
VRT? Oh, wait, Vasari rebel titan?
The Eradica's shields are pushed too far back to the rear of the ship, so quite a large area of the front is "unprotected". Not sure how to get a screenshot up here...
