If you just want to play LAN games together though (not online), you will be pleased to know we don't mind roommates/family/etc installing the game on two machines in the same house with only one license.
It's hard not to love you ;D
Ok obviously in single player this is pretty useless (outside of the aforementioned achievements... but who cares about those, honestly?)
Well, I do, that's why I play lately (now I'm trying to achieve Go Big or Go Home - only caps against 4 Normal AIs, 2 stars, around 30 planets == fun!). But you're right about one thing, this wasn't meant to be, there's no reason to allow this behaviour and devs obviously missed that. It's just you probably shouldn't call this

Don't get me wrong, but maybe you're not too good in this game? I rarely do missions, but somehow I manage fine with normal AIs. Always keep some cash before pirates attack so your bid is the highest. Also, portofu's advice is always good in any game - scouts, always have them running, so you'll know in advance what's going on. As for AI, try to kill their caps, they panic and run :) Just keep an eye on your own caps and jump away for a while when their shields are down. <b

@Silveressa Great ideas, I'd love to see all of them implemented. As for categories and timer, well... I like them games long :) Generally, different win conditions would be a nice addition and probably not too hard to introduce them to the game. Maybe some modders could tell us if it's doable at the moment...

#1 I'd like things to blow-up in a better way, let's say capital ship blows-up and leaves a huge, drifting hull. #2 More control over my fleet, add patrol, targets priority (like 'attack the strongest'), 'retreat when hull points below...', 'protect this unit', etc.
