Whether the AI attacks might depend on the setting. AI can be aggresor, fortifier, econ, reseracher, or random. Easy AI on research almost never attack, so that may explain the lack of attacks on your base. If the AI does decide to attack, the pirate base won't deter them. Capturing pirate bases dosen't do anything special. Its just an asteroid that you can colonize. The only benefit is that you don't have to worry about raids anymore.

Thanks guys I fixed it by minimizing/maximizing (all the options were right and no cin mode was used) I posted this again in technical because I think its a bug. - no phase lanes after loading a save game (one time thing- i can load okay now). - grav well is surrounded by two black circles instead of blue - problem persists after restarting game and computer - problem fixed when game was minimized and then maximized

Are scouts really the counter to lrf? They technically work, but then you are left with a useless fleet of scouts that will get owned by pretty much anyhitng else in the game.

I found it but it was already checked. Could there be something wrong with my graphics card? One thing - when I order my ship to jump, a black line appears in its intended path. Is it possible my phase lanes turned black?

How do you turn view phase lanes on/off? I can't see my phase lanes anymore.

I just started playing this week. I'm about 6 hours into a random large map and my phase lanes suddenly all dissapeaered after I loaded my save. (They are stil lthere its just that I can;t see them) Is it a bug or did I just press some random button? Thanks

The emperor did all sorts of wierd dark side experiments on Byss like making the sky blue. In order to keep the people happy so he could use thier energy, he made it a paradise.

When it freezes, the music keeps on looping and I can move my mouse, but i can;t close sins or minimize i have it on low settings. sorry for leaving this stuff out

I installed sins yesterday but my computer just freezes about once every 2 hours of play. It otherwise runs smoothly. I have Vista on AMD Athalon 64X2 (dual) 5600 and Nvidia geforce 6150SE and 3gig ram. Please help!

I just downloaded the demo and played it several times. However, the game occasionally just stops working and my computer becomes unresponsive (ctrlaltdel , altf4 dont work) and I have to restart the computer by holding down the power button. I have vista on a fairly new HP (AMD 64 dualcore, 3gig ram, decent nvidia card). The game runs very smoothly and has no other problems. I really enjoy this game, but am not sure whether to buy it because of the aforementioned issue. Doe
