How does trading influence points effect you? in Galactic Civilizations II Stardock Forums

I've noticed that you can trade for "INFLUENCE POINTS" when bartering with other factions. However i never understood how that effected you. My assumption is that it applies a bonus to your influence points thus increasing your influence. But if thats the case , does it spread it out equally ? and does it then - the enemies TOTAL influence ? Its hard to picture it is all and i have no idea how much Influence points i have in any sector of influence.

Thanx for the fast reply. But i tried expanding the module folder of galciv2. Dark avatar shows up along with 3 sub folders , Tutorials , Movies and one other can't remember.But having no luck :( findin toa

You know i have steam and its 129423049234234 times easier. LEFT click games tab ... WALLA activeation at bottom of page and list of games at top! why can't they just follow this?

This is driving me insanse seriously , i purchased the Galactic civ II : TOA and apon purchase i got a page come up with details TOTALLY irrelevant. The page has serial number and order number and gives me a link to stardock download (WOW THANXZ LIEK CAUSZ I DIDNT ALRDY HAVE STARDOCK INSTALLED TO PURCHASE THE GAME). No download link to the game so i start running around in circles trying to find the right spot. I look in my games for the product under both the Store tab and
