Look, I'm not mad about this in any respect. I'd just like to point something out. While I can respect beta testing before games, especially to get a quality product, I don't understand it in this context. Unless I'm mistaken, this micro expansion will not be boxed, meaning that you can only get it from Impulse anyways. Unless its pretty far from finished why can't you just release it on the 18th? Since its only going to be digital distribution, it wouldn't be

Yes, Great Success. That did the trick. I probably should have picked up on that because I had actually checked out that first directory to delete the Mod I had placed in there. I should have realized when I've uninstaled it twice, the mod should not be in that folder anymore? But many thanks. I would probably have been spinning in circles around that for weeks. It is kind of weird that I have to uninstall it from impulse, and the disk, as well as deleteing those files... B
EAW wasn't an absolutely terrible game. The maps, especially the ground ones, could get a bit repetetive, and there really wasn't alot of room to outmanuver your opponent, but it still alot better than a few other games I've played. I can still dust it off once or twice a month and have a bit of fun with it. And blowing up your opponents with a few Star-destroyers never gets old.
As the title says, I'm having some problems reinstalling my game. I've had the game since may-juneish, and been having some fun with it. I stopped playing for a few weeks, and when I got back, the game transitioned the patches to impulse. So after restling with that and finally getting it to work, I decided to try out the beta. It all worked fine smooth beans and everything. Then I decided to try out the starwars mod. I put it into the right folder, and
Perhaps it is. However at the moment, strike craft do have a lower rung on the power ladder. If the enemy with Lrms brings a couple flak ships, it really won't matter weather you have fighters or bombers. Of course the enemy can always have Flak, but if you micro well, you can navigate your fighters and bombers around them. I'm just trying to say that most of the people who "Play to win" (those who have massive Lrm/Heavy frigate fleets) generaly won't have much strike craft to begin
The Advent are probably the strongest fighter race, at least defensivly. They can have 3 fighters per hangar structure, as opposed to the other races having 2 squadrons per hangar. I'm not sure about the strength of each squadron though. Sova could arguably be the best carrier however, depending on your opinon of the embargo special ability. However, the Sova Rush and its effectivness is apparently quite controversial. ;)
It is interesting to note that when you examine the Sova, it has 7 launch tubes. Of course, I haven't ever maxed one out, so I don't really know for sure.
Yeah, my manual says 7 as well. Never noticed before, but the sova gets one more squadron than the other races carriers.... I guess you could take a look at the mod files to confirm...
