All of Crytek's games have been released for the PC only. Sorry if I'm missing something here, and I probably am. Are there console ports of Crysis or something? Anyway, it's nice to see Stardock getting more and more attention in the media.
Wardell concedes that a lot of Stardock's success with its incentive program may also follow the fact that the company's strategy games appeal to an older demographic of gamers who typically have disposable income. This to me seems like an equitable trade as long as the online activation is fairly seemless and not cubersome.
Isn't that idea pretty much the way Steam operates? Which is still better than online activations alone.

From CBC news http://www.cbc.ca/technology/story/2008/10/07/tech-amd.html The world's number two microprocessor maker, Advanced Micro Devices Inc., is splitting into two in order to shore up its financial position and to better compete with its main rival, Intel Corp. The Sunnyvale, Calif.-based company announced on Tuesday that it was spinning off its manufacturing operations into a new company called Foundry Co., a joint venture with Advanced Technology Investment Co

I have never downloaded any game ilegally in my entire life, I believe that I have a the benefit from reading reviews and playing demos, if I like the game I will buy it. This is exactly how I got Sins of a Solar Empire, I read the Gamespot review, watched the IGN review and then played the demo. After that I loved it so much I went out and bought the game. I do not have any P2P software. I will always buy games no matter what. If I don't not pay for a product, developers will not get
It would actually be a hybrid, a new game concept! I like a less hectic pace. I think such an option would attract TBS players. It beats me why RTS developers have not figured this option out out long ago. It is so simple to implement. and will not detract from the RTS player's enjoyment of the game. Why not include this in the next patch? It is a no-brainer and will sell more games.
Well actually Rise of Nations had this option, it

http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/54725 Well what do you think? I'm happy Crytek is moving slightly away from EA. Really I think they should have done this last year, might have got them higher numbers in games sold. Does Stardock have any deals coming up with Crytek (I know you guys can't tell me :P). Ok, I have uploaded them to my Skydrive Public area. There is 2 file called Derelict (ones .save and the other's .stats). Also there are 3 screenshots, Screenshot_24 through to 26. One is a clear view of the Cobalt in the phase window, another is just to show there is only an advent cap ship around (and its far away) The other is just an extra screenshot. http://cid-5fd23745ec1327bc.skydrive.live.com/brows

There was no Guardians in the game yet, only 2 cap ships and a bunch of disciple vessels and ilums.

5 Replies 3,244 Views

Well I'm playing a 1 v 1 game on Derelict, I had a little raid going on the enemy Advent planet, when the AI showed up with 2 cap ships and alot more frigates than me. I was getting owned, so I retreated. My last Cobalt started to punch into Phase space but then it just kept on moving (it was moving when it created the window) and stopped right where the phase window animation is present. There were no ships behind it so it was that Cobalt which made the phase window. I've taken a few sc

If you did register it, click "Update Serial" on the opening menu, if it was registered the Serial number should be present on the little window that pops up. If not I would suggest following the instrustion in the post above.

Stardock has balance every ship properly, they can't help you if you start making YOUR fleet unbalanced. Its a player's stupidity thats the problem here, not a programming problem. Its called a strategy game you are suppose to build your fleet using strategic intel and actually think about how to make a balanced fleet to counter the opposition.
