[quote who="Annatar11" reply="11" id="1953277"] I tried with both siege frigates and capitals for Advent and I do not see any white squares. The frigates shoot lots of fast moving projectiles that make little explosions, and the capitals shoot slower projectiles that make a large detonation with an expanding shockwave. The shockwave is pretty much blinding white, but that's it. Everything looks the way it should. Can you post a screenshot of what you're seeing? Maybe als

great work Annatar, this mod makes the game much more fun. Is anyone else still getting the prob with advent bombardment animations. Im using the latest link from 23 nov, as I see it was previously reported as fixed (perhaps I missed something?). In my games the bombard explosions are white squares when viewed head on ie from behind a siege frigate facing planet. They are there but are less noticeable from side view. Anyone else see this ?

oh and as long as you got a coloniser in system, a neutral planet will be colonised (assuming no culture resistance) but like most abilities it cost Anti-matter which gets used up in phase jumps so it takes a moment to recharge, also make sure your colony cap ships colonise abilty is set to automatic or else manually cast the ability yourself.

thats the pirate base, it will still be on the map even if the pirates are off, it just wont launch raids. Upgrade your fleet capacity on the 3rd research screen, above artifacts tab. Thers two types on this screen, one for overall fleet capacity (this one eats a set % of economy) and one to allow more capital ships. Plus look at the top of the main screen where you see gold/metal/crystal income, just to the left you'll see two numbers, one is capital ship slots left amd one is re

not to say the TEC don't av their uses, mind you. Also browse the strats sections, quite a few strat guides for each race, so you can take what you like an dump the rest, or make it better says Hannibal.

ya, admirable your loyalty to the TEC humies, but they probably aint the best for a newbie as they tend to have weaker ships, just more of em because their economy is the best. Try vasari or Advent (illuminators make a big difference), there easier to survive with while your learning, me hears the TEC are gettin a boost in the new upcoming 1.1 patch but well see.

yep, its annoying that the Ai jumps in to a gravity well and then immediattly jumps out leaving you by yourself, even when both fleets combined you have clear advantage. especially when it aslo whispers that its completed its mission, pissed me off so much last time i declared war lol.

It would be difficult to see this new enemy as another faction in any expansion due to there description and ability to take down the vasari empire with little resistance. BUT, it could be plausible if, as the vasari are slavers, they where experimenting on ways to subdue other races without the need for warfare, i.e. mass mind control, these experiments on vasari agents, ultimately went wrong, and created a super mind altering vasari, which went about quickly subverting the entire vasari empir

I think customizable ships would be a big improvement, as it would force strategic designs and it would give players the definite feeling that there ships are growing considerably stronger(which barely exists at the moment, i.e. cap ships available from the start, 10% or 5% increase in damage per tech level). This would make early ships no match for upgraded ships, thereby forcing investment in advanced technologies. But i think to create more variation in the ships the tech tree need to be va
