I feel giving temp fleet control to allies may run into some gameplay balance issues, I'm just not sure what, how, or why, it just seems tricky. Here's two other ideas. One is simply giving the selected fleet permanently to another player. This would essentially be the same as giving resources through the diplomacy screen, but the receiving player must have the available fleet supply to accept the fleet. Honestly, I don't know why you can't gi

Definitely get Entrenchment. There is no reason not to play it, and $10 is a steal. I don't play multiplayer because I like the pace of playing large maps against many AI opponents. In multiplayer, the goal seems to kill your opponent as quickly as possible, which is not why I play Sins. I would probably only play Sins MP with friends in the same room, a la LAN party or something.

I couldn't imagine playing on all settings slow, and the prospect of a 100+ hour game is frightening... [e digicons]:omg:[/e] I played on a huge single-star random map as Advent, three teams representing each race, hard AIs, that took 26 hours to finish. I decided to take my time and build a starbase (fully upgraded) for all 40 of my regions as well as research everything. It was fun to be so thorough, but I doubt I will ever be so thorough again any time s

Sorry if the topic title is confusing. I just find it both odd and, honestly, annoying that if I upgrade to the max 2000 fleet supply with 75% fleet upkeep, I pay 75% on fleet upkeep regardless of whether I actually use all 2000 fleet supply or not (the issue is the same for the smaller upgrades--you pay 9% upkeep even if you don't use all 400 supply, or whatever the number at 9% is). Anyone know why the developers made it this way? I feel that the amount of fleet upkeep pai

[quote who="IztokBitenc" reply="3" id="2150353"]Hi! what is the largest map anyone ever played Last week I used my own map: single star, ~140 planets, at least 2/3 of them habitable, 4 teams of 2 players, all AI unfair researchers, me Advent. Reason for such a big map: I wanted to give AI enough "room" to develop good tech before we'd start serious wars. Reason for teams: AIs don't surrender, if their team mate is stil alive. [/q

I also agree to allow the player to disable surrender, but honestly, I have not witnessed any of these bizarre surrender scenarios that other players have listed. All my opponents surrendered with only a few planets left after I sacked their capital. I also had as many as 15 more planets they did and an economy about 5 times greater than theirs, so I think their surrenders were quite reasonable. There was one early surrender where a hard AI attacked rogue sh

The reason I play as no one but the Advent is because I find the voice acting for the TEC and Vasari annoying. That's really all there is to it. The TEC voices are grating, though the Kol Battleship voice is awesome. The Advent never seem to have enough of any resource in the early to early-mid game, so I would like to be able to play the other two races. I would really like to play Vasari more, they seem really cool and have awesome looking capital ships, but after he

Hey everyone, Is there a way to disable the music changing during battles? I really like the ambient music that plays during times of peace, but then the music changes when you zoom in on a battle. I find the battle music somewhat annoying and I'd rather just keep the ambient music even during combat. I know I can delete/move the battle music MP3's, but I don't want no music during combat, and I'd really would prefer not to start mixing around the MP3's in

Actually, by late game, you need even more. In the single-player late game, most players fill their logistic slots with communication centers, so culture and allegiance is strong. In one game I fired 6 shots into one planet, but because that planet was surrounded by friendly culture, the effects of the deliverance engine were minimized quite quickly. My question: If you fire a long-shot deliverance shot at a planet and then colonize it, what happens when the shot hits? Does your plan
