you people seem to think that the 3 mins extractors take to build wont speed up the game..Giving you extractors doesnt just save you 3 mintues it increaes the whole speed at which you can explore colonise and attack.and if it doesnt do a darn thing.. why not include it?the game is spose to be agasint micro yet at the start of game you have to hurry to micro and sometimes your builders are on the otherside of the system and they dont move that fast.. othertimes they are right next to the a
Bright and enlightened? They don't come off that way to me; they don't give off the sesne that they are akin to Vulcans; rather they seem more akin to religious fanatics with a collective, hive-like mentality.
So they're contemporary christians? :P j/k But seriously, that's why we need that expansion with a story line. It will most likely answer these kinds of questions.
That's just it. I'm a noob so it takes me a while to position to get anything worth of value. Hell, I spent 3 hours just gaining planet/doing research/building my fleet before I started any major planet nabbing of the enemy variety.
Sry for the tripple posting... THIS FORUM NEED AN EDIT BUTTON! At least, I don't have one. :( But you can't really leave out the borg. Look at this, http://www.ditl.org/gpgm/GMapGalaxy.jpg. They're just frickin expansive. And yes, the vast majority of the info on that site is cannon. They were also encountered off and on during the dominion war era. Why not have them be the pirates? :P Sweet... I only see an edit button for this post. Odd.
http://www.st-intelligence.com/ There's an ok site for some more technical info on the ships. I'm trying to find one that was supreme. Hah!! Found it, http://www.ditl.org/. Enjoy :)
Dang that's... a lot of torpedoes
Actually if you've ever looked up the tech specs on a miranda class ship they're pretty impressive. I think the soveriegn class can volley about 4 torps/sec or something like that. It's been a WHILE since pored over ship specs.
I'm running a 4-hour-and-counting single player game at home. It's quite fun :) I've assimilated over 30% of the solar system just with my empire and just crushed the last big enemy fleet at about 6:00 AM this morning. That's when I realized the time and decided to take a nap before heading to work. :P But, to reply to the post, I do think it's a tad long for online play. Maybe have the online play give you a starter fleet, like maybe 4 light frigates, 2 scouts and a colony
I hate them. Mostly b/c I'm a n00b at this game. It's usually right at that time when I start to get a somewhat decent fleet (that still sucks, btw) then pirates come and take 3/4 of it away from me. Never fails that 2 raids later the enemy decides they can invade my empire. :) So to me they're an uber annoyance.
Me personally, brand me the devil for this, downloaded Sins first. Why? B/c I hate run of the mill RTS games and I'm going to check it out before I pay out money for it. They no protection scheme is great. Mainly, b/c I didn't have to download a crack for it, and secondly, b/c I hate copy protection. CP basically boils down to a waiting before someone cracks it. There no use in saying we should change the way things are and we should magically start reporting people. That would re
