A tactic i use....take the next planet by their homeworld you want to crack, and set up shop, build everything you can and move you fleets out of the gravity well in the world next door.make em ready to phase space. and wait....the AI will send ships in to check on the scene. let them come. be patient....if the AI thinks everything is cool he will , most times, send his fleet or half his fleet to take the planet.. if he does. make sure he is commited and deep inside your gravity well....once th

Thanks Kitkun. that was exactly the reason for the virus. I found the problem and scuttled it
Man i think your right about the Crusaders. it was one of the last ships i grabbed. Using 7 Deady Sins 1.3d and running Sins 1.05. thanks for the help. gonna go look for that ship
Anyways. how i figured i got the virus..I was holding 2 fleets in my home star as a buffer zone to my homeworlds, and while they were in position, I use a couple rapture battle crusers to fatten my fleet.IE Steal the enemies ships. As the story goes, i used my Raptures to grab a couple ships that are close and got a never ending 1.5 damage over time.its kinda like Malice that the Advent motherships use and its graphic is the same, a big ball of stuff with my fleet in the middle. But Malice only
Yep. fleet viruses I first came across it in the vanillia game...couldn't figure it out. then i found it in a modded version"7 Deadly Sins" good mod BTW Obervations of the virus...seem the fleet thats effected loses 1.5 shield points per second, Also, the virus comes and goes. but does not dissappear. It also seems that the virus is also contagious. and will pass from fleet to fleet by proximity. Conclusions? First i thought it was the game helping to "kill Off
