Definitely like C&C 3 better but what other new base building rts's are there ? I actually like supcom 2 better then the first one. in the first you had to upgrade engineers just to build higher level buildings and when you got to 500 units you couldnt find the upgraded one right away which was annoying. strategic view isnt that important since almost every rts comes with a minmap that does the same thing. As for multiplayer they need more large maps. I

I do realize that the antorak is a support cap ship just dont care for the abilities even though I do keep one in my fleet so I can respond to threats quickly. The speed ablilty is the only one I let autocast.. I sometimes use the phase out on enemies to make an escape or to disable half the fleet so I can destroy the other half first. I just think that ablility should only target enemies. guess i'm just contradicting myself now on the usefullness ..oh well

Both companies have decent cards. Used to have to configure my 8400gs alot to get it to display games correctly. I have a 4890 now and havent had to make any adjustments for any game. Of cousre these threads are probably hurting the game themselves since people sometimes check forums to see what the community is saying before buying the game. I doubt smurfing and stacking is killing it. If this was true no games would ever survive long online. for me i;m not currently playing online because both diplomacy and entrenchment desync within 10 min every time and the only way to not get it to desync instantly when restarting the game is to restart my whole pc. There is no way any game can withstand that no matter how big the original player base. Look at what desyncs did in the past to games like Kanes
It does work somewhat against easy AI but any human opponent will quickly concentrate fire on the units not effected and then mop up your other units once the ability wears off.
In actuallity the lamest cap ship has to be the anturak marauder. It even has an ability that hurts your own fleet!!(the make invulnerable one) It makes your fleet effectively smaller helping the enemy(as long as they notice which ships are affected) Suprised this hasnt been complained about before or changed to only affect enemy ships.
I use the Kol as a tank while leaving carriers and lrf's behind it and keep only flak burst active to hit the fighter/bombers that are trying to get by to the ships behind it.. Use other cap ship abilities to enhance it from behind as well.

As a vasari player I only know the counter wth them.... make 3 kortul devastators research the antibomber/fighter ability... = carriers powerless i can only assume there must be a cap ship for the advent that disables them too.
the problem is that if you play against the new difficulty levels its impossible to outbid them since they make 4 or 5 times the amount of cash. What happens is I use up all resources and money to outbid and still lose so I get attacked and no longer have anything to replenish my fleet and planet after or during the pirate raid making for a quick defeat of me.
Ive stopped playing onlin just because of desyncs. both 1.01 and evtrenchment still desync within 15 minutes for me... Of course me and my buddy only do compstomps but he has now given up and uninstalled it. Entrenchment 1.041 was the only build we could make it through.. Still desynce after 3 hours in that build but we could deal with that now it sdoes it before the first auto save whcih makes it unplayable.

its sounds almost like a cache clearing problem especailly since when people restart multiplayer games and it desyncs makes me feel that something was left in the cache from the previous games as well.

i've noticed this problem ... try putting bounty on 2 or 3 ai players at once.. seems to fix this for me
