If they write it in OpenGL from the beginning it whould be easier to port it for every major console to (PS3 anyone?)... Open GL is not the answer it is just a solution that works on pretty much anything. I am not saying that gaming on windows is a bad thing. Gaming is great, I love it! I just want people, Especialy the PCGA to make PC gaming the wonderfull gaming-platform that it has the potential to be! And not just restricting it to Microsoft APIs that are locked into their OS. Well OpenGL runs on MAC, Windows, Linux, Solaris, MOBILE PHONES! You name it and it can run OpenGL. It is not about the OS it is about "shutting" you out if you don't use Windows. Games should be free of those boundaries.
People are saying that PC as a platform for games is dying. System requirements are jumping through the roof, and so on and so forth. What we need in this "broken" world is :Games for PC, or what i whould have wanted PC Gaming Alliance to be from the start. I do not know how PC Gaming Alliance works or what their goal/mission is.
