I name my advent cap ships "Radiance I", Radiance II", "Progenitor I", etc. and a level 6+ progenitor named "Resurrection" so when one of them dies I can make a new one, use resurrection, and have the exact same fleet. It might be a bit unimaginative, but it helps keep my fleets balanced. Likewise, i name my desert planets "Sand #", asteroids "Rock#", dead asteroids "dRock#", etc. Again, slightly boring, but it keeps stuff organized.

i'm attempting to make a SW map as well, and i'm going to make the hapans and mando'ade pirates. the hapan systems will have pirate bases every once in a while, with quite a few in the transistory mists, and the mandalore system will have a few pirate bases around manda'yaim.

nice idea, but i don't think it would work. also, the most outlying might not be the closest, or vice versa. so it would be pretty hard to get it that way from a mechanical stanpoint.

just an idea for the titan, have the builder unlocked by the civilian research tree and the ship and weapon unlocked with seperate researches in either the military tree and/or the defense tree so you would have to invest a lot into reasearch but not just into military. and stop asking when it will come out! enough already... when mansh00ter decides to put it out, you can drool all over it

I think carriers are great as part of a fleet, but if I want to put a squadren into a grav well in the early game, as soon as my carrier enters the well, it gets toasted. if you could give an ability like summon bombers or what have you on the Vasari cap carrier, have the squadrons able to jump, and as soon as the time of the ability is up... poof! SC gone..... or am I crazy?

oh... I feel stupid... but i thought about 1 and 3, and for 1, you should be able to by adding a weapon. I don't know how well that will work, but if you look at the entity files for a siege ship, you could probably copy them into the bomber files. and for 3, there's no way to "upgrade" that i could think of. you should ask ordian about the strike craft. he might know.

alright.... i know it's not about diplomacy, but i need interdictors. they can travel through "wild space" and create grav wells. also, because I play in giant maps(3-10 stars, 1000-1500 planets), i think stars should be connected by phase lanes like planets, not connected to all other stars. also, wild space shouldn't be dangerous, just very big, maybe with a small decreace in speed, so if you don't use phase lanes, you can get there, but very slowly. great for surprize attacks, but

WOW! I never thought people would like this. i was thinking at the beginning vanilla races and a superpower judge, and use captur extractor for the capture. the vanilla races already have that, so no serous modding going on, just adding a "judge" race w/ superpowered cheap ships, and a "flag". instead of giving mongo rescorces, you could just decrease costs. as long as it is proportional throuought, it would still be fair. as i said, i (a mere dabbler in modding) could have a

umm... if anyone can give me a shape that changes color depending on who controlls it, it could be done in a week to a month. a moderator could kill anyone who looses, so the minimum amount of players would be 3 in that case, or there could be just one flag. but all of that would be irrelivant if i dont get the mesh, because i cannot mesh at all.

im having some trouble. i made a pretty sweet map in galaxy forge, but as soon as i try to play it, it says i lost, and when i hit the "keep playing button, there are no planets, and no stars(besides the background) can anyone help?

if you havent already got a strike craft idea, i twold be fairly easy (from a lore point of veiw) to justify a huge swarm (30 or so per squad) of low armor(say 1-5Hp), low weaponry (25 attack), high speed fighter-bombers. y'know.. trading armor and weapons for speed, putting quantaty over quality. i dont know how you could make this balanced, mayby make the carriers more expensive... but it would definately work well with the whole unpiloted ships kidof thing. another weird concept would

another interestin concept might be to let the construction frigates be able to construct ships as well as buildings. this would fit well into the organic scheme well, because any orbital structures would be constructed much the same way as a starship. the orbital structures wold have to be grown like the ships. again, this might make some new strategies come up in the Xin
