I've been enjoying Distant Stars greatly, but have two very general feedback things for the mod :) : Really nice to have planetary defences that work well now, especially with upgrades. I do feel that they may be a little too powerful now however, as I'm finding 3-4 Gauss Cannons are taking out multiple hostile capital ships without losses on occasion! What with the huge tiering of upgrades for them now, the bonus to their base stats over va

I was getting 45kb/s, which I suppose is old ISDN, but effectively still dial up. I guess Moddb are taking forever to verify the upload over there.

Itching to try this mod - finally sat down and started to get into Sins Rebellion, and this mod is highly acclaimed. As a modder of other games, I'm really keen to try... Hoping that the update for 1.8 compatibility arrives soon! Just my luck that I'd go looking for a mod like this just as it's waiting on compatibility updates, damn! (literally bookmarked this page and occasionally hit f5 in the hopes of getting my first taste of DS ;))
