I believe that DD is definately the way to go but I am glad that companies make hard copies available to those that want them. I haven't bought a hard copy since the last time I installed the sims 2 for my g/f. A total of 13 cds/dvds plus about ten keys and patches....that really was the last time I messed with hard copies. As for Sins: I can understand your argument about the whole exclusive thing with steam but that doesn't explain why I can't get sins from any OTHER DD serv

I've been interested in SOASE since before release but I'm only interested in buying games digitally and my platform of choice is Steam. So the question is are you ready to release this on steam yet? I'm still willing to pay full price but don't want to use impulse or any other DD service...Sins has been out for about 3 years now so I wonder how much longer I have to wait. Many people say that it'll never be released since you only want it availab

I'll probably keep asking every 6 months so yeah. 1.Sins on steam within 10 years for £2.99 + all expansions - thanks in advance for the bargain ;) 2. Armaggedon 3. Pigs flying - wouldn't surprize me with all the crap that we feed them. 4. Hell freezing doesn't count since it's a fictional place.

True about modern music but there's alot of hard work gone into those classics. They can take years to make just like games. Stardock: it's money at the end of the day, so eventually you will because theres millions of customers on OTHER services (not just steam) that are only willing to buy your product through their own digital store.

So still no sign of it comming out on steam then? I've only read a few of your replies but simply put, I'm not a rich man and I live in a small house, space is mega essential and thats why I only buy games/movies etc in digital formats. As for Hard drive space I have 6TB in my gaming rig and 10TB in my server which is located in my attic (lack of space etc). A few of you have mentioned about me trying to convert you or being whinney. Tru

yes i've used impulse. the point i was making is why do i have to have a dozen different download programs all installed and running just to play games. out of all the services i chose steam because its what I LIKE - its that simple its stupid really, a boxed copy is shipped to ANY company and ANY country reguardless of competition. But online thats a different thing....WHY? why can only certain providers stock certain games. the only ones losing out is the comp

Sins is one of the best RTS games i've ever played. and i've been more than willing to pay £25 for it. however i don't want to use impulse. Since release i've been waiting patiently for it to come out on steam and yet there is no sign of it what so ever. even the shops are selling it dirt cheap because its been around for so long, but i've got waaaaay too many boxes and i'm only interested in buying digital versions of games since i no longer have space in the real world. <

this is BOUND TO FAIL. voice recognition has been around for 20 years and it still sucks. facial recognition is still basic and has FEW uses. and as for the body capture its just the sony eye toy just slightly upgraded. i can't see any real games making any use of these device what so ever. the wii aimed at casual gamers, people who don't need an xbox or playstation. the wii hardware isn't perfect but i bet its still going to work miles better than ms attempt

I agree with the retro titles. I've got hundreds of old games that i just dont want to get rid of but they take up so much space, i would be glad to change them into digital versions. and its not like hard drive space is a issue anymore because you get so much space for peanuts.

I think i'll get the retail version. Its not released over here for another 3 weeks. But over here its £20 including postage, if I bought it from stardock its £38 including post but not including tax (sorry but i don't know how much your tax rate is). so as you can see it's gonna cost me more than double and all i'll get is a poster and a CD. thats an expensive CD

I've actually got 63 games on steam and thats not even half of their catalogue, i've just looked on stardock and theres about 12 games that both steam and stardock have. The reason i like steam so much is that you don't have to install games or patch them. So whenever i need to reinstall windows i can just copy my games file over to a spare hard drive and then copy them back after the reinstall. No keys, no installing pains (insert disc 2, now 3, now 1, now 3 again. aaaahhhh the pain),
Also you don't need Stardock instilled to play the games, unlike Stream. You only really need it for patchs, but I am sure you could find the patchs some where in the vastness of the internet.
So is that why there's so many fake copies flying around eBay then? I played the demo and it's really awesome and can't wait to play the full game. The only thing that puts me off is 1) the whole gotta use Stardock and 2) The retail price is actually cheaper than the digita

I think that the whole idea of digital downloads are great and I definately save tons of space but why do I have to install so many different programs. The only game Stardock has is "Sins" so why should I install another program just for that one game. At least steam has tons of games.
