Not sure if the reinstall fixed the problem, but I have been able to play the game again fully. I wanted to wait to respond until I had played through a complete game without problems. I have started my second game and all still is working well. Thank you for your assistance. I hope this problem does not happen again, since I am unsure what exactly fixed the problem. I am just glad it is currently resolved.

Sean, I ran the Intel Driver and Software Update and could not find any available updates for my system. So unable to make any corrections. I then went into Windows 10 - Virus Protection and turned off the Ransomware setting. This did not solve the problem. I went back in and turned it back on and it still did not solve the problem. Thank you for the information, unfortunately it did not solve my issue. I deleted the Prefs file, but it did not solve the problem. I then renamed the GC3Crusade folder to GC3CrusadeOld folder. This still did not solve the problem. I deleted the old GC3Crusade file and this still did not solve the problem.
