That's helpful. I need to pick up that issue when I get a chance.
LordSethD
There could be, though I haven't messed with the files enough to discover such a thing.
A new ship for a new race? Or new ship for an already existing race? Either way it looks awesome!
I got it on an ice planet when I explored it
Does it do anything? or is it just one of those things that you get an achievment for?
Hail LordSethD are you going to allow us non-modding mortals to sample your new race???Would love to add more to this great game.starbucaneer
Most likely. It's nothing gigantic like the Atlantian mod or some of the others. Basically it combines several aspects of the three different races and puts them into one. I'm not that great at modding hence the n00bish ways. It'll be out by the end of June (it's the end of May now), probably sooner if the Research trees work right.
Thank you Psugar. If I have any errors that I cannot figure out I'll be sure to PM you.
it's a random thing you find on planets, sometimes you get it when you colonize sometimes you have to search for it with explore planet. I've heard it's more common on pirate bases.Or so I hear, I've never gotten it.
Well then, that's a bit useful, I kinda wish to know if it actually does antything now. Looks like the pirate bases in my current singleplayer match need to be dealt with finally in the hopes of finding one incase the pirate base rumor you speak of is true.
I like them, in multiplayer games they soften up the "third wheel" enemy that I'm not concentrating on, making said enemy easier to handle when the time comes.
How do I connect wormholes to each other in Galaxy Forge? I know you don't do it by simply doing the phase lane connection, and just leaving there doesn't work either. So apparently there's a command for it i can't find. Help anyone? Thx.
Wow... damn. I really hope the next patch fixes that. It's getting REALLY annoying.
Oh yah and by the pics it seems like their is no added yellow sun texture? Is this true?
There is a new texture/brightness for the yellow star, I've been using this texture pack for a while.
Not to burst any bubbles but we were using the word Nerf back in the beginning days of UO when they Nerfed Ebolts and such
Even I can vouge for that, my father was on the UO beta team... we've been using that term for a looooooong time
Can someone give me a VERY detailed description on how to get a new race in game? I've made the race, customized all the ships, located all the files and added text where need be, but I have no idea how to actually implement it in game. Can anyone tell me how to add them into the actual game so I can play them in single player?

Well I have good news and bad news. The bad news is the way you speak of it, Subraces would require quite a bit of editing to the game itself which most modders can't do unless they're VERY skilled. I mean you're adding a number of things that require activation depending on planets, race, etc. The good news is that this could be attempted at some level cuz it actually sounds pretty good.
Holy hell! I've needed this for fixing what abilities to what ships for my new race mod! You've made life much easier, thank you!
So every time I check my achievments I see the Space Ponies Achievment. Can anyone tell me what this is... or how to unlock it?
I myself am not a girl but I know several girls that play RTS games as well as various video game genres. One of which happens to be my wife...
For the Unity! Advent for the win, all their capital ships are good, the Progenitor Mothership is actually pretty useful in battle and most of the frigates have decent abilities that help out.
Had this same issue. Really got annoying when beating the four hard AI players. I allied compeltely with a couple with the intent to betyray them in the end. We killed the other two and it said victory, so i kept playing, betrayed them and won... and I didn't get. had to do it all over and break alliances early.
I usually do an even number split of each for all counts. If i have an odd number I always do bombers over fighters. The mix helps ina lot of combat situations.
Does anyone have a working SOASE Font? I took the ones in the "Font" folder under SOASE on my computer and put them into the comps font folder... but they do not show up in an progam font lists. Does anyone know how to fix this? Does anyone have a working Sins font incase it can't be fixed? Thx.
Or do it like I did, play 1v1 on a big map with one AI enemy. Put it on hard mode and just sit and build an army and take local planets. The capital ships will just keep coming once you get the game going for a bit. Spped mode in the game comes in so much handy for this.
I would love to death a nice Kol Battle ship. As well I'd like a nhumber of ships... but a Kol for sure...
Yep, 5 is max build number.Instead of build, there is another way.Add a create-ship ability to some of module, and create a captialship. But this ship is NOT build, So, a long long cooldown time should be set.
Hmmm that's not a bad idea. And yea, hell of a long cool down for something like that.
