I get how to change the number of fighters but can someone tell me how to balance them? I can't seem to figure out how to weaken/strengthen/balance the little buggers.

I'm making a new race that combines some of the better researches, ships, etc, from each race into one. Well for this I wanted to have six capital ships instead of the usual five, that way I have two from each race instead of two sets of two and gimp. However when I tried the obvious way (finding the capital ship limit, upping it to six and adding another ship) it didn't show up in game. The mod worked fine, the entire system worked fine excpet that sixth ship didn't show up in t

I've never had one of my Advent Capital Ships blown to bits so I honestly can't help. My best guess is that when Resurrection is on Autocast it automatically takes the ship's spirit.
I usually only use tight formations. It seems like all my ships need to stick close together, get close to the enemy and just obliterate them. It's quite fun.
Tight or even normal fleet cohesion is not always good... Let's say, you have a TEC fleet of 10 Heavy Cruisers and 5 Repair Cruisers. Due to their low range, the Heavy Cruisers will fly close towards enemy units. Normally, the Repair Cruisers would stay away from the action, but with a tight fleet cohesion they can't.[/quot
Very nice job! Can't wait to see the finals and download it. EDIT: Is it possible to do a color mix? I would love to see a mix of red and white with patches of "deep space'" black.
Hazah! Fixes abound! Particle Mods Tools as well!
Poll ideas -Favorite Capital Ship -Favorite Race -Favorite Planet Type -Stuff about popular mods -Stuff about tweaks and updates I think I got the point across. There are several things that can be made into polls.
That really angers me. Especially since I can't afford some fancy gaming system, my comp is up to date and can run most all high end games on medium/high settings (runs Cryis on a mix of meduim-high settings, kinda laggy though). CURSE YOU MICROSFOT! And I was really looking forward to playing this game too.
Odd, I didn't think it would seeing as the Jikara NAvigator has it's own command button for it. Oh well, it works. Thx.
If they do this to the first game's storyline (yes I said first, there's a sequel in the works) then this movie could be astounding. If it ends up being an offshoot with a storyline that vaguely resembles the game (*coughcoughresidentevilcoughcough*) then I don't think it'll be as good.
I didn't bother to spend more than a couple of minutes on each texture. Don't expect anything groundbreaking.
Groundbreaking? These textures blow the water out of the default ones, thats grounbreaking enough for me. Just finished the download, time to test them out. EDIT: Well I love it, the only issue I have is the new space background doesn't look that great. In my opinion there are WAY to many specle stars. Anyone know a way I can stick that in another folder
*thumbs up* Nice job.
I thoughty I saw a couple posts in another thread talking about this, I believe it is a bug and it's supposed to be fixed in patch 1.05.
So far I have only noticed one ship that can capture the random extractors that you find in plasma storms, asteroid belts, etc. That ship is the Jikara Navigator, scout ship of the Vasari. Are there any others that can capture? I mean I've had the game for a while and i don't think I've seen any.
What I want to see is for the pirates to be able to jump out system to attack their targets. Makes life more interesting.
They should fix that because then the pirates attacks no one if you took the one out of the system and you are the target nothing happens. The pirates should attack the second highest bounty (in a system they are in).or just make'em jump systems when they reach high or extreme.
Honestly I'd love for the next patch (or the patch after) to allow pirates to jump system to their target. It would create a lot of interesing scenarios, and my pirate controlled system would be a
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum but I'm new here so I may as well try here. My questions is, do the pirates attack out system of where they are? Last night I had an instance where the only inhabitance of a system was a couple of pirate bases (And the other stars were the enemeies and my base), the idea was that they controlled their own territory and you had to stop them. Well when bounty time came around I couldn't raise, and I was the target... but I don't think they ever came.
