No you do not have to be online for Rebellion to unlock steam achievements. I've gotten achievements in Rebellion offline. It reports the achievement unlocked just the same and then the next time you go online it'll update your steam account with the unlocked achievement. It could be the case that you just missed one tier of a single research on accident. It is difficult to tell at a glance sometimes if you missed a tier on a particular research when all the res

So I've noticed that there are Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion Emotes and backgrounds that come from making a badge set. Is a specific emote/background tied to each tier of badge or are they completely random?
While we greatly appreciate the interest in expanding the Sins' engine, these types of feature are in the realm of sequels.
That is greatly disappointing, but thank you for at least taking the time to respond. It is appreciated. That said, I cannot see myself purchasing a sequel to Sins of a Solar Empire. Not because I don't enjoy it, but because as I outlined in my original post and below in this one, Sins of
Dear Ironclad/Stardock There's been a lot of talk on the forums lately calling for a multithreaded 64-bit version of Sins of a Solar Empire and a lot of talk about why it supposedly cannot/won't be done. I understand the reasons why Ironclad made Sins of a Solar Empire a 32-bit game at the time and why rewriting Sins of a Solar Empire in 64-bit would be expensive/time-consuming for a company like Ironclad or even Stardock, but in my opinion it is completely necessary.
Hey Folks, Sorry if somebody has pointed this out already, I did a forum search and didn't see this mentioned, but it looks like there have been some New Achievements added to Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion on Steam. They are listed in the Steam Client, but not in the game itself. They don't seem to have descriptions yet either. They are: Destroyer of Worlds Drill Baby Drill Equal Opportunity Intrepid Explorer Vacation
It's not listed at that Link. I really wish I was notified that it was being discontinued, because I'd have downloaded and backed it up then. I'll try e-mailing . Thanks for your help.
I didn't see a way to download at the link you provided, but they are still selling it here: Link Surely if they are still selling it there must be a way to obtain the version for which I've already paid.
I bought the Collector's Edition of Sins of a Solar Empire way back when it came out and one of the bonuses was a Sins of a Solar MyColors desktop theme which I installed on my old computer through Impulse and which I always had the option to redownload at my convenience. I've recently gotten a newer computer and I wanted to add the Sins Desktop Theme to it as well, but it seems that after the transition from Impulse to the GameStop App I no longer have the option to download the Sins
Like many players out there, I do most of my Sins of a Solar Empire either offline or via LAN at a friend's house rather than online as my home connection is dial up (No really. Broadband isn't available in my area if you can believe that). I saw that Steam has an Achievement feature, and I was wondering if these would unlock if I played while Steam was in offline mode and sync up with my account when I do go online or if I just miss out on this feature entirely. Anybody know?
I have a suggestion for starbases. I would like it if you could have your starbase "forget" certain upgrades to free up upgrade slots. Say you have an Argonev on your front lines so you decide to give it all combat oriented upgrades to help defend your territory. Later in the game, you've expanded and your Argonev is now well behind your lines and you don't think it'll see too much heavy fighting anymore. So you have it forget a level of offensive upgrades and use the freed up s
I want to introduce a few of my friends to SINS since it's my favorite RTS. I was wondering if I'd be able to install it on their PCs and use my impulse account to patch them up to date so that we can play over LAN on my network. Would that be possible?
This same thing happened to me and a buddy of mine playing over ICO. We started noticing descrepencies in our game. We were both still in the game, and communicating through the in-game chat. We even took a couple of cell phone videos and sent to each other to show what was different. We then both made manual saves. He's going to e-mail me his then I'll send both of them to Iron Clad along with a description of some of the descrepencies we noticed. Hopefull
I just wanted to make sure I'm e-mailing my minidumps to the proper Ironclad E-mail address. Should I use support(at)ironcladgames(dot)com or is there an e-mail address just for Beta feedback? Thanks.
I'm having the same problem as the other posters. I get just a few minutes into the game and I get a minidump. I definitely had v1.12 before I installed the entrenchment beta. E-mails containing minidumps and descriptions on your way in a few seconds.
I'm still waiting as well, but I thought I'd post the bright side of it! If I had Entrenchment right now, I most certainly wouldn't be studying for my Epistemology exam tomorrow. So, the slight delay is probably a good thing, though I can't help glancing up from my book/notes every few minutes to see if I've got an email [e digicons];P[/e] .
Congratulations Ironclad. You all really deserved this award. I'm happy for you all. [e digicons]:D[/e]
Wow! I'm incredibly excited about this! Just in time for the break between semesters!
Hey guys, I was wondering if you all had any good tips for getting a good Advent Economy up and running. I find that when I play Advent my economy lags behind a good deal compared to when I play TEC or Vasari. I suppose this is to be expected to some extent because on the way the TEC and Vasari are designed, but I can't help but think that it might be me. Any of you Advent players have any tips that might help me out? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
It's definitely fixed. That's what I call a timely response. Thanks Ironclad & Company.
Thanks for the response Blair, but it isn't my firewall. I Alt+Tab and checked and there was no pop-up, so I checked my firewall setting and Sins of a Solar Empire is set to "Allow." I'm using version 1.1 of Sins of a Solar Empire. Edit: It doesn't seem to be a port issue either.
I am having the exact same problem as you Keithustus . Once I click "Accept" nothing happens. I even left the computer sitting there for about thirty-five minutes just incase there was server lag or something. I play online infrequently with friends but I have never tried using the Ir
Personally, I'd really like it if the third, as yet undisclosed microexpansion, is a campaign. I'm not sure how other folks would fel about that, but I'm a big fan of story in games, and I woul REALLY love to find out as much as possible about the Sins of a Solar Empire Universe. Wishful thinking aside, I'd love to see what Ironclad has up their sleeve for the second diplomacy expansion as well as the third microexpansion. Entrenchment has me psyched si
I'd like to pre-order Entrenchment to support Ironclad, and if I have time to help Entrenchment's development by participating in the beta test. If I do download the Beta software is there an easy way to switch back to vanilla v1.1 to play with my friends who don't have the beta software?
That more abstract version of currency makes a lot of sense. Thanks Bobucles.
To be honest, I really hope that IronClad leaves the game at three factions. I love all three factions, and I think they've each got a great feel to them both fluff-wise and gameplay wise. I'm all about them adding stuff to the factions, I can't wait for Entrenchment, but I really do not want to see another faction.
