Try creating a worldbuilder map (from in the game) - they can be a lot of fun.

Thanks for the updated mod! It works great! The pirates are A LOT harder now (obviously). Maybe a little too hard (I attacked a pirate base w/ 14 cap ships and about 20 drone hosts and found it a bit difficult. I probably could have beaten them but better safe than rebuilding a level 7 cap ship. :D Thanks again!

I think had them as planetary bonuses (or maybe that was just in Sins Plus or Solar Sins mod, or something) where you get extra population or something.

I don't even use the bombers anymore. Maybe if I have 40 or so squardrons of Fighters I'll build some, but the fighters rock against frigates, so I focus them on frigs and have my caps go against theirs.

Here are somethings we have changed: Pirate raids are tougher, larger and they have shields at elevated, hard and severe lvls. Pirate base is harder to take out tougher frigates, added capital ships and they have hanger defenses and repair bays. We did this tweak because of the Black mar

The SBs are NOT unbalanced. If you use your head you can defend against Vassari SBs. If you're attacking as Vasari and you're afraid your SB is going to get destroyed before it's built (in an enemy Vasari well) then don't attack. Sit back, relax, and try a new tactic. Send in 100 destructers and blow their planet up. Go around the planet - attack from another side (use phase gates from the kostra canon, and a distraction at the other side). Vasari are NOT u

Galaxy Forge works for me (Vista w/ SP1) - but the maps I've created (4 player) cause instant defeat when playing. Anyone else have that issue?

Actually the demo might perform worse than the game. They made a few changes so effects and such use the second core (if available) which weren't around in the demo. But I can tell you right now it will work fine. I run sins on a crappy little Dell laptop with a intel video card with no on card memory, and it runs just fine once you turn a few things off.

The only problem I've ever had with it is when it checks the download before installing. This usually takes between 30 and 45 minutes, unless I exit out and go back in, and then it works lickity split. Other than that I'd say impulse works great, and is one of the better game/patch delivery systems.

I find clearing mines to be almost impossible. Last night I was playing as vasarri vs advent and the advent laid over 2,000 mines in a single gravity well. There was no way for me to even attempt to take out all the mines with the current settings. The vasarri seeker vessel would reveal them in the short range, but they would flicker between in phase and out of phase, which made them nearly impossible to hit. My suggestions below: -Mine clearing ship (if ther
