Ive been having the same trouble with filefactory. Downloads at like 14 kb/s on average over 5 tries and most I have ever gotten is 54.3 mb before it lost it and I had to try again.

Cant seem to get the 1.31 version downloaded off of filefactory (unless i go premium). Is there another mirror where its available?
Yeah, I saw the HW1 mod below, Ill probably DL it to check it out. The HW2 ships were amazing though, not to mention the variety you get. Turrets should no problem though. They dont have to move or rotate. You just set the fire points to come from the spots where you show a turret. It can be done similar to how the existing TEC flak frigate's turrets are, just shorten the barrel length so their non rotation is less apparent.
I was just wondering if anyone had put any thought to making a simple race mod using the ship models from Homeworld 2. Most of the weapons effects would be straight up transfers from existing weapons effects. If you look at homeworld 2 mods like "Complex" and "PDS" there are additional ship types and station types that could easily be incorporated, permission depending. Hey Ordian, I noticed something balance wise that I was wondering if you would consider altering in the latest version. With the Advent battlecruiser, you dont get the option to build interceptors. You can build fighters, but they arent very effective versus enemy strike craft. Is there a way you could toss the interceptor back in for the next iteration, or else somehow (and i realize this is probably a long shot) give cap ships a bit of flak to stave
Just an update. Still running the 2.1 version. Finally stopped crashing. I dropped my grahpics settings to the bottom. Im gradually going to up the graphics more and more to determine the crash threshold. Other than that, love the mod!
I just ran some more tests. I changed my Data Execution Prevention settings and now, instead of crashing on the nvd3dum.dll, its crashing on C++ runtime error [e digicons]x_x[/e] Im going to change back the DEP settings back and see if i stop getting the C++ error and begin getting the nvd3dum.dll again. If I do, then im thinking it is either mod or maybe my ram is faulty all of a sudden.

For me, when it just strait up crashes, i get an Appcrash - nvd3dum.dll fault. Only happens to me with this game. I expanded my testing and tried the distant stars mod (contains volumetrics, bailknights, sins plus etc) and i had the same issue. Ill download some mods without any of those, and i will download them individually to try to isolate the issue as soon as i can.
I did a bunch of testing last night. Minidumps and crashes definately occur when using MS2.1 and not in vanilla entrenchment for me. They seem to happen sooner when in a game with a larger number of planets and players. I have minidump reports from when it was a minidump as opposed to a crash and can post them if youd like (and if someone tells me how). Not sure if anyone can analyze them or not... Ok. Heres what's happenning. Playing single player and multiplayer, at or around 45-60 minutes into play on a random map, I crash with a minidump. This is happenning consistantly. I am running 1 mod, the Mad Scientist 1.51 (2.0) release, easily found on the modding forums. What I am trying to figure out is wheather this is a mod issue, a game issue or a computer issue. I was only running your mod (the 1.50 version). Last night, after posting I updated my video card drivers (182.06 from 181.20) and I upgraded to your new 1.51 ("2.0") version. Tonight I'll do some more testing on it since I dont have anything up.
Ive stumbled across a bit of a bug that Ive recreated a few times now. Playing as advent (pretty sure faction isnt the determining factor) I play a random map (not online). The game goes fine for approximately a half hour to 45 minutes. Upon scrolling out to view the wider map then trying to zoom in again, the game straight up crashes. There is no error or anything listed. Just this program has stopped working. Sorry its not that hel
Ive tried a couple times to play multiplayer, and single player, with limited success. Either my friends or I had to leave before the game was completed or something similar. Havent had much chance as of yet. However, while playing solo, i had one game freeze using the mod and a minidump, not sure if they were directly caused by the mod or not, and didnt have the presence of mind to write down the error codes. Hope that's helpful.
Ok, this is likely a silly question as i am almost positive it wouldnt work, but assuming the SoaGE guys ever released a new entrenchment version, with the new mod system, could you ever forsee the mods being compatible or would they remain mutually exclusive?

You might check which mod directory you each placed your mod into. It appears there are two now post patch for entrenchment. A question for the author as well, was bailknights included in this release? I noticed the explosions look like they are from the volumetrics mod, but I didnt notice the weapons fire changes that I was used to seeing in the non entrenchment version that I used with 1.13 and 1.14.
First off, I love the mod. Ive been playing your mods since HW2. I am curious though if there is a plan to add new planets such as those in the sins plus mod, as it adds some really great flavour to the game.
A note as to it's stability with 1.13, Ive been playing the mod online with 1.13 for must be a week or so, sometimes multiple games per night. I have had no stability issues or errors.
Would there be a way to implement some anti strike craft defenses (static emplacements as opposed to hangers with fighters) or would that be too much work? Btw, love the mod(s)!
