hey. that's fine. I'm sure we can find someone innocent to blame for it, like Communism. Or maybe the Advent. They sort of have a Communistic society.

What I mean to say is, that the title of this post was meant to catch peoples' eye, and that I took a bit of poetic license bridging the unnecessary differences between the meanings of the words 'submerged' and 'immersed'. Sins is a beautiful game, no doubt about that. There are also some major flaws, no doubt about that, either. Considering its relativly modular style and moddability compared to some antiquated games of Yore, this is the sort of problem that will probably be co
In my opinion, with the limited background story given, I'm guessing that there was less of an issue of good vs. evil as much as unreconcilable differences caused by human gregarity and our islandlike nature. It's just the very issue of 'cultural relativism' that Drath explained so eloquently. If you grow up in a society where it's 'ok' to shoot your neighbor if he does something you don't like, where force rules, and only the strong survive, you will not consider this wrong - you will
That's ok, all the SP guys' nicknames fit on the left sidebar where they belong. Actually, that's a pretty lame comeback. In reality, there's tons of reasons people don't play online, from connectivity to time constraints; some people feel they aren't 'good enough' to hack it online (which is largely true, I know I'd get stomped). I mostly agree with Retro's new-game philosophy, and would only suggest a small tweak - instead of building a colonizer capital ship, build a stronger warship, unless you're playing Advent. The Progenitor is pretty good, and its colonize ability makes planet upgrades cheaper for a while after you use it - very good for your first colonies. But for Vasari or TEC, I would suggest to build a battleship or dreadnought, and spend the extra bit of money for a colony ship. While any capital ship can ha
