Being an MP player I find SP absaloutely dull. The only advantage I get out of playing SP is being able to save and go back to the game later (available on MP but no one uses it). Aside from grinding out the basics I feel that everyone should move onto MP with more then a grain of salt because it brings more out of the game tenfold.

Alright, Its been happening to many people today but I've noticed that in every game I've played today after about 15-20 minutes I get the message that reads: Disconnect From Ironclad Online. Really, it is worth buying the expansion. 10 bucks is easy to get, just sell some limonade for a day outside. Once you have entrench you'll soon find yourself playing with more people who are better than you. you will lose, but you will learn. And if you watch all your replays and eat all your vegies then maybe in about a month youll be talking smack to others you beat down.

Same thing happened to me, Try uninstalling the game and then reinstalling it. The Installer might just be having PMS.

This is an amazing game! So amazing I got my friend into it and the other day we went to the store and could not find it on the shelf . He ended up buying it online and on another day I saw it on the lowest shelf with 2 copies of the game. Why does this game have such good ratings and such terrible shelf placement? Its not so much as rushing, I would say rushing is going full military and attacking without an established econ. Anyone can get 15+ LRFs up (10 or so if Advent) and "rush" their opponent. These sort of games usually depend on who can out produce the other, therefore if another has a slight advantage (3 mines on his 1st roid instead of his opponents 2 mines) then he would outproduce. I understand your reluctance to this strategy becuase it relies alot on chance and map place

Okay, I've DL them, when do people play these maps online. I only ever see normal game maps/random being played. Are there set times in which you all go on to play these custom maps?

Thank you Xenon, Yes, I'm just trying to put any and all stories we submit on battles and whatnot to the same set of standards, sure it complicates things slightly, but I feel that if our stories don't agree in terms of time passed and lives lost that that would complicate them more and lead to unnecesary discusions on who is right / wrong. I'm not saying that these standards are to be used in game, I just feel that we would do better in storytelling if they were there for
