I know the feeling Darkhorse... ever since I got my FullHD projector I can't imagine watching anything on less than 3m in size :D Of course, the quality needs to be right or you'll get sore eyes. But BTT shall we :D

Ive seen that pink colored box too, also playing in 1920*1200. Doesn't really matter though. The mod is great, one of the best (and most "complete" feeling) mods for SOASE :) 1920*1200 is the native res of a 16:10 24" monitor. I have two LG L245WPs here... good old MVA panels, even at their considerable age (4 years), no TN can touch em :P 16:9 really sucks especially for working, I don't understand why it managed to dominate the market. Probably due to
Megaupload is fine. Mediafire on the other hand sucks, please don't use that. It's slow, down half the time, and yeah the file size limit is ridiculous. I could also offer you ftp access to my server - don't have that much space left, but traffic is free and ppl could directly download your mod with no wait (and speed is pretty good too, usually a few MB/s)
You really need a better connection dolynick, so uploading isn't as much of a hassle. The uploading part really shouldn't be an issue. If I may recommend a filehoster - rapidshare has recently lifted any size constraints on uploaded files, you can also download one (or a few) files with unlimited speed as free user :) As shermantanker said, keep up the great work! Haven't played SOASE in a while, came back to it now only to find that one of my favourite mods wasn&#
It's believed the first time you play SoA you'll get a minidump just as I and others have mentioned, if you start it up again though you should have no problems.
You were absolutely right - 2nd time I played a 4P map with the Dominion against Federation, Klingon & Romulan and no crashes! Although had to fight pretty hard to come out on top... that AI ain't half stupid :)
Guys, I just updated Diplomacy via Impulse (1.31), downloaded the new 1.21 mod, applied the 1.30 patch, started up a small game - and got a minidump within 5 minutes. What gives? Not 1.31 compatible? Stardock and their (§&")/§" patches... Anyway, it was the smallest map there is ("Quickstrike"), I was playing federation against a single Klingon AI. Video settings on high, game nowhere near the 2GB barrier (not even 1GB). I'm gonna try again on a random map later...</
Hm... I'd love to try the latest version, but I bet if I update I'll effectively kill all the other mods :S So I'll hold off for now... keep up the great work guys :)
Hi dolynick, I am running Dual HD5870's with 1GB of video ram. And yes, I just downloaded the latest SGGalaxy 1.03 yesterday. You are right though, it's weird - just fired up the game as Wraith, and I can research Wraith hull, no problem. Activated on launch are SGGalaxy 1.03, FleetSize 1.0 and a (probably) older version of Bailknight's. Funny thing is though: I did restart the game yesterday with the exact same mod order active, and it didn't work. Lol.
Hehe, sounds fun! My scale is a little smaller, played a random medium map with the Asgard against 4 hard random AIs in 2 teams. Was doing pretty good until I just got a minidump :( I'll probably need to reduce detail, I'm on highest for ships and high for the rest, using SGGalaxy + FleetSize + Bailknight. No bugs with the Asgard that I could detect, great job there! Although I am not 100% sure the upgraded sublights affect caps as well as normal ships, my Odin was lag
Hey dolynick, just wanted to let you know I still enjoy your mod very much, in fact I think it is one of the best for Soase :) In fact I am just about to start a game using SGalaxy 1.03 (just realised I as on 1.02...), will let you know of any bugs I enounter. I haven't played the Ori or Goa'Uld yet either ;)
Also loving your mod guys, keep up the great work! I just started to watch BSG again from the beginning...
Great work there! Can't wait to see the fully textured ships :D
Sweet! Downloading...
Wow, how could I miss this mod? Awesome work guys. I've played a quick match with all 3 races and you can see there really went a lot of work into making this! To anyone who is unsure about downloading it, I can only recommend you to try. 3 totally custom races with unique ship models, specialized research for all 3 new factions, new music and a whole lot more I probably haven't seen yet.
Daedalus Auto-attacks just fine for me.. also, no lags for me unless the battles are getting REALLY big. I do have a ridiculously overpowered PC though (too bad SINS can't use more than a single CPU thread, it's a real shame).
Ok, just finished my first game as Tauri against 3 hard AIs. Here's a few initial observations/bugs: Defense: - Burst rocket ability doesn’t work/ show up after research for the gauss defense platform - Meson bolt cannon ability doesn’t work/show up after research for the gauss defense platform Area
First of all, kudos to the entire mod team for putting a lot of time and effort into this mod. Even if this is still in a rough shape as you guys said, the attention to detail is amazing. I'm talking about the entire look-and-feel of the mod, from the custom menus to the loading screens and music, this mod has it all. I like how the models were done, even if some may seem unfinished/unpolished and, as dondurito said, too small for my taste (esp. the caps). I also like the dyna
Yeah I almost do the same, but mainly with the Pegasus :D I usually have Pegasus I to X xD
Hey guys, just wanted to let you know I really enjoy this mod! Especially the strong capital ships are to my liking (I hardly build anything but caps anyway). Keep up the good work, and I can't wait to see updates for this!
I see. Played a little SGGalaxy yesterday with everything on "normal" but ship speeds "Faster", (there is no "Fastest" setting?) and I definitely liked it, as it didn't feel so sluggish (I usually play on 2x game speed against AIs, I'm not a really patient guy in that respect) :D Oh yeah, I also stacked it with the Dynamic Ship movement mod V 0.15 and of course Bailknight's, seems to work fine. Real nice space battles with the fast-moving smaller ships and nice
Quoting therealjcool, reply 1336Thanks for the reply - I think it may not be the ships being slow as much as the increased gravity well radius that makes them look like they are moving slowly. Did you see my edit? Edit: Ok, I found the Starbase builder frigate (doh). Also encountered a bug - in the Asgard "defense" research tab, you can't research the "Megalopolis" addon for Starbases. Says it needs 2 points in Megal

Wow. Your models look awesome, and this doesn't even feel like a mod rather than how the game should have been made. Seriously, you should call Stardock and have them integrate your ship models via the next patch, they are that good. Now I gotta try the Distant Stars one with your models in it...
Very nice mod.. I love capital ships, and this mod gives them the importance they deserve. Also like your ship models!
Hi dolynick, dunno if you remember me, I have been playing your mod since it came into existence - and liking it a lot! Didn't have much time over the past year, but now I've purchased Soase Trinity and of course, downloaded the new version of your mod (only tried Entrenchment so far, don't really understand Diplomacy yet) :D. What can I say -I love it! Awesome really how far this mod (and a lot of other mods too!) has evolved in this past year. Entrench
