I wonder if its cause i have the latest 1.82 BETA - the mod seemed to be built for 1.80...?
As a general rule, never EVER enable Steam to install updates to SOASE by default. Always make sure the mods you want to play will be compatible with the new version first, as there is no going back. And don't ever use Betas, as no modding team will ever tailer a mod to work with a temporary beta version

One more (very annoying) bug: The Asurans seem to miss the reasearch to colonize gas giants. The planets say "needs research" when I hover the mouse over them, but the appropriate research option is nowhere to be found.
The "placement patch" currently does not work for me, neither with the "christmas version" of SGI, nor with the more recent 1.80.1 - I get a minidump on the map loading screen, so not even getting into the game. Without the patch it plays fine, except for the not being able to place structures manually part, obviously :P If you guys can fix that soon (and get some more stuff textured) it's gonna be a top notch mod! Thank you!
Thank you for your fix, however I can't seem to get it working properly. I've tried all combinations and so far had no luck getting into the game. I've got the 1.80 "christmas release", the 1.80.1 from January, the placement fix and your submod. But no matter how I combine them, I always get a minidump on the loading screen. More precise instructions would be most welcome. Edit: It wasn't your patch/submod that broke things. Turns out the
Played a game with a friend last night, as Borg. So fun to assimilate the Alpha Quadrant... mwahaha :> Can't wait to play my favorite race from Armada II.. the Dominion, of course!
Just wanted to say I really appreciate your work! Been playing SoA2 for a long time now and still love it, but your mod has many great qualitites and feels totally different to SoA2 - so to anyone having doubts whether we needed another Star Trek Mod - hell yes we did, just try it! I like how polished it all looks, really more like a standalone game somebody might release, rather than a simple mod. The models, animations and sounds are amazing, and so is the custom UI for each race (e
Good to hear you guys are still working on the mod. I must have played one of the earliest Betas back when SOASE was new, and instantly fell in love with it. Can't wait to try the release for current Rebellion :)
Unfortunately not, we are still in the process of converting everything over... There is ALOT of content to convert Rest assured we are working as quickly as possible to get the rest of 7DS over to rebellion!
Love the TCA... great work there. Also glad the Athena no longer causes minidumps, heh. Now all I need is some real opponents lol - playing vs. 7 teamed up vicious vanilla
Still loving your mod dolynick... In case anyone is wondering: Yes, 1.06 still works with Dip 1.37 so they didn't break it for once. Looking forward to new versions (if any), a Rebellion one would be awesome (Atlantis as Titan is win). Best regards
I've played this mod ever since it came into existence, so first of all, I'd like to thank the mod team for their continuous work and effort, it is much appreciated. That said, I did prefer the earlier versions of this mod to the current one. Battlestars used to be hugely expensive and slow, but could take a real beating. Now it seems they die like flies, but are rather cheap to replace, which I dont like. Dunno if it's me or if this is intentional, just my 2 cents
Weird, it just gives me "URL 'http://zombiesrus5.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/%20zombiesrus5-read-only' doesn't exist" :/ Edit: NVM, I didn't remove the username. Now it is downloading. Using your 0.4 as a base, hopefully that works :)

Update: Played again as TCA today, got a minidump after 1h. Researching "defense grid uplink" on the Athena gives me a reproducable mini dump - may be worth looking into. I can send you the savegame where you can try it out if you want.... Update2: Using the Athena's Thanatos Railgun also causes a Minidump. Looks like the Athena needs some more tweaking... Update3: Novalith Deregulation research is not accessible, the same way the titan foundr
Just played the Rebellion beta mod for a while, liked it until I got a minidump ~2h into the game. 4P map, me as TCA vs. 2 AIs, GFX settings all on "high". No performance issues otherwise, running smooth as silk - I do have a rather powerful machine though. Gonna try another game to see if that minidump was an isolated issue... Only real bug I could find was me as TCA not being able to build a Titan foundry. I researched the Titan but I still wasn't able to build the Titan
Colonials won't have Novaliths. Neither will Cylons.
Ah, that explains it.. just gotta kill the research icon then. Any ETA on porting the other races to Rebellion SotF? Again, thanks for all your hard work. Wouldn't have bought Rebellion if it wasn't for modders like yourself.

Been loving the BSG mod ever since it came out (way before you took the project over), but just wanted to say thanks for your continued work on it. Been playing 0.3 last night and had lots of fun, the Hardliner Titan simply is a beast :D Downloading 0.4 now ;) Didn't encounter any major bugs, nothing like crashes or minidumps anyway (settings all on high). Game running very smooth on medium sized maps. Ignoring all the "string not found" and missing/wrong descriptions sinc
Hey dolynick, good to see you're still developing your mod. I thought I'd give an updated impression of your work, since I have now spent ~20 hours or so enjoying SGGalaxy 1.06 :) I've played as Ancients, Asgard and Ori so far, everything on "high" setting, no crashes or minidumps - stability A++ as always. I really like the new ship models, and also the Asgard an Ori Beam weapon effects. Bit disappointed with the drones FX for the Ancients, they use
Hi kryo, thanks for your quick reply. I found the file, deleted it and got it to work now :) In order to see the "All users" folder, it may be worthwile to mention that you have to enable viewing of "protected system files" in system control --> folder options, it is NOT enough to have just hidden files enabled.
Ok, so I reinstalled Windows 7 today. I have a separate HDD for games, so I deleted the game folder there and reinstalled Trinity from my DVD. I can launch 1.00 just fine, it does not even ask for registration or login which is weird? Anyway, I installed Impulse (which is now called gamestop? or something), and after a self-update it shows SoaSE Trinity under "my games" after I am logged in. I hit update, and it updates to 1.34 - so far, so good. But I can't get it to star
Can we please get an update so it works with Diplomacy 1.3x? I'm on 1.31 and the latest release (for 1.21) crashes while trying to enable.
I just downloaded 10 times. xD j/k of course... being one of the early followers of your mod, I can say it has always been great. Even the first version with the tiny little Atlantis that looked like a trade drone (was it?) ;) Maybe word spread around - now all you need for perfection is a textured atlantis - THAT would be epic. And maybe some improved weapon effects for the Ancients (the beam looks kinda squared). Yes I know, I am nitpicking - but I already told you how aweso
Looking good dolynick. Still on Dip 1.31 but works fine there as well. I played 2 "test games" so to speak, one as Asgard and one as Ancients. No real bugs that I could find, gameplay was very smooth and I do love the Asgard's battle animations (could watch their beam weapons all day). The one playing as Ancients was the longer game, with me pitted against wraith, Ori and goa'uld teamed together and set on hard on a random medium map. It was fairly easy to beat them us
Great to hear. Sent you the ftp access data via PM, feel free to use them. Advantage over one-click hosters is obvious - just use filezilla or something to drop in all your updated mods at once, hit go and let it upload while you're gone.
