I would figure that subverters wouldn't affect you as much since as long as auto attack is on they will still respond once the effect wears off.
Which doesn't make sense. It's fine if the ability stops them, but it shouldn't cancel orders and the stunlock of the marauder just equals loss if you get caught by it early game. That level of micromanagement is just annoying more than anything else.
I agree with this. I don't see why stunning something would change it's orders. It's not like you mind wiped the captain or anything :P
It's called eXpanding. Depending on the map size, this tactic will either be effective, or a game winner normally. On smaller maps there are so few planets that siezing them early is cruicial (and getting the infrastructure upgrade quickly). You have to realize, teching up has a pay off time, until that time is met you spent more on teching than you got in benefits out of it. It sounds like you're teching too early, losing too many planets, and then he has a greater econamy than you (fr
The second level turns the cooldown for the ability from 420 seconds to 360. I don't know if it affects the size of the fleets called in, but it drops the time from 7 to 6 minutes (saying those numbers are in seconds which I'm 99% sure is correct).
Yes, it certainly shouldn't cancel the orders. I assume you had the ability on autocast? If so until 1.1 you'll probably simply have to watch your Marauder to make sure it doesn't happen anymore, although it certainly should be patched. Not sure if this affects other capital's orders since I never have my ships autocast so anytime they use an ability I'm watching them.
Well I played my first online game today. I must say, despite the fact that the SP was incredible, I enjoyed the MP even more. It was far more interesting to me to play against another person. P.S. Not sure if I should make a post about this in the tech support, so I'll ask here unless someone says otherwise. When I was playing, one of the other players ended up having to leave. When he left, about half of my sound went, the sound effects and voice overs. The music continued to play, b
HC are Heavy cruisers the: Kodiak, Destra, and Skarvos enforcer. They are good vs LRM's and weak against bombers(I think).
While not being an expert myself, it is my impression that pulling off a RA rush in 1v1 is basicly impossible and still very difficult in a 2v2 since they can simply rush you and crush you before it comes online. That said, I'm sure someone here more experienced than I can help you :)
This is something I'd like to know as well... I've been wondering what exactly, it means and how one gets it for a bit now :P
Larger maps will always result in longer games. Although if time is going to be an issue then I suppose you could always turn everything to fast I suppose. (I would advise using the 2x speed if neccesary, but I don't know if that works in multi-player. It didn't seem to work last time I did a LAN game...)
I agree with DessanT. A blockbuster mobie would clearly check their facts after all, it's not like they'd have motivation to make it look more spectacular than it really would be. After all, if the water level would only rise 30 ft, then clearly people wouldn't fall for them showing massive water level increases right? (BTW the 2007 IPCC report on the expected water level increase for the years 2090-2099 was between .18 and .59meters. http://www.aaas.org/news/press_room/climate_change/media/4th_
If a game ran longer than an hour then I take that you would save and reload a the next play date? If so, what's to stop someone from loading it in SP and seeing everyone's techs, fleets, planets, positioning etc?
I'll come online once I can beat the AI's competently. And as long as people won't call be a noob for losing a game :P Proper balance might not hurt either. I left my last game because it wasn't balanced well, and I for one enjoy competitive matches against other competent players. Not fun when there is only strat to try. Albeit, it seems Stardock is interested in making sure the balance is fixed up and good, so far I'm impressed by their support.
