so i recently played a game a 4v4 game and was nowhere near my allies, by myself....i was advent and the guy next to me was tec and he scout rushed me and had lrm for cover...what is a good counter to that since i see alot of people who play tec scout rush....its tough to cover when your advent especially since illums are a tier 3 and the jav is tier 2
ive been seeing a lot of players go straight for the heavy cruiser when tec and have a bunch of hoshikos with them....i am curious as to what a good counter for a hc rush is....it seems to me that building carriers with bombers would be best, but those are expensive especially as advent. would a massive amount of illums counter them? what about as vasari?
so ive downloaded most of these replays but i can only watch up to 15 minutes in before the game closes.....anyone explain why or how to fix this problem?

so i just started playing online as opposed to playing the AI and i am getting absolutely raped. whether i play as advent (which i usually do) or tec, it doesnt matter as i am usually dead within the first 30 minutes of playing. i need advice seeing that is completely different playing online
i was curious as to what is a good starting strategy for advent in entrenchment. i seems like theres more volcano and ice planets than terrain planets so i have to build civ stations before i can build military labs to get illums? any thoughts?
i am just curious as to what people who play as TEC comprise their fleets of. do they comprise of mostly LRM's or light frigates, lots of kodiaks or few, etc.
since getting entrenchment, ive been playing around with the starbases, specifically with TEC. where is the best place to place a starbase? does it vary by location of each planet (frontline, home planet, etc) or is it planet location irrelevant and only strategic usage of the starbase the key factor? is placement near the phase lanes/outer ends of the gravity better or is placement near the center of the planet?
so i havent played in awhile (almost a year) and i am starting to pick it up again and i need some advice and a good starting strategy for TEC seeing as they fit me best for the way i play....i am also looking for advice for entrechment as i just picked that up as well
which is better to have, defense platforms or hangars....my understanding is that platforms def do more damage but hangars are more effective against frigates and scouts and heavy cruisers/cap ships if theyre stocked with bombers....is better to have balance of each or to have more of one??
so playing this game as advent for awhile and i never "create fleets". i usually just pin the ships i want to a number using ctrl + "number". then i either use the "move as group" or "not grouped" depending on the situation. this has worked for me but in my last game vs the comp i played around with the "create fleet". i noticed that when my ships arrived at their destination, the lead ship started the attack with the other ships just pretty much following and not doing any att
i have the same problem that G0tchas has....maybe my version isnt updated....i also found that when i tried to update my game by putting in the serial number it wouldnt go through for some reason...anyone know why?
ive been playing as advent for awhile now and have a real good grasp of how to play as them. however when i try to play as the other two races get hammered after like 30 minutes into the game....ive looked at a lot of the other posts but havent really seen anything that really helps.....any suggestions?
ive been playing the game for about 3 months now and find myself best with advent....however when i play 1v1 maps against the computer i usually outbid for the first pirate raid but then get really screwed after....is there anyway to turn the pirates off....i find that in 1v1 games it hurts the computer at the beginning but then all it does it give more exp to their cap ships.
