You could just put some random pirate-looking ships from other franchises and none of us would know the difference....they were transported through a interdenominational wormhole.

How about this: The EDF would have Juggernauts (cap ship) , Mantas, Thunderheads, and gunships all for normal price; and be abble to build a super-expensive warliner. The Confederation could have Roamer warships and treeships (cap) for cheap and Juggernauts (cap) and Mantas for a higher price/research lvl.
Ok, here it goes... 1. the present 2. Ildarans also have Cutters and Streamers, with other generic undefined ships. Do the Verdani orb things in book 7 count as ships? But yes, the Ildarans only have 1 type of ship. 3 and 4. Maybe the playable races would be limited to the Confederation (hope I didnt spoil anything), the Hansa, the Ildarans, and the Klikiss. The Faeros and Hydrouges could be pirites/planet defenders, and the Wentals are mine able recources to use againts them.
And any modder will have the honor and duty of designing most of the ships.
Maybe a master modder will take pity on us.

Invading planets would be an option. My opinion on the Mod Beta. -gravity wells are too big for the camera -I cannot tell the between the Imperator I class (ISD) and the Imperator I class (Venator) because they have the same name. -Weapons are uber powerful against the normal 3 races -No Nebulon-B escort frigate? -It would be nice if the roles of the ships were more clearly explained (this ship is often used to scout for enemy bases...ect) -Other than that i
Kevin J. Anderson's epic space series , The Saga of the Seven Suns , has quite a few space craft that could become a mod. For any of you that have read the series, the TEC is simular to the EDF, and the Advent to the Ildaran Solar Navy. Other races could be the Faeros, Hydrogues, Klikiss, Roamers, Verdani, and Wentals. I am just tossing the idea out into the community.
For ground invasions... maybe have ground attacker ships with a number of troops in them. when given the order "invade planet" they send down troops. there is a little bar on the planet that shows the progress of your troops.
Could the flood just attack everyone, and if you pay them it is your fault for wasting your money?
So... any idea when this mod will come out? A week? A month? A Year?

I am confused. If i get this mod will it work online? or just single player?
What would be nice is if you can choose the skill level of the AI player, or choose for the empire to vanish. If someone quits in-game, their Ships and world either become guarding forces (like what protects a planet at the begining of a game), or the empire vanishes enitrely (leaving nothing). Just the option would be nice.
