well as soon as the devs come out with a new sins developer for entrenchment, (the 1.1 version doesn't work) i will probably start trying to implement as many of your ideas into a mod as i can. Though there will only be 3 types of fighters cuz i can't model so i'll just reuse 1 of each of the races old fighters and bombers. But I don't hav any idea which 3 classes i should use. (Any thoughts/ideas?)

I saw a mod a while back that made it so can build fighters individualy instead of squadrons, kind of like the way you build frigates already. So different abilitys could be applied to different strike craft, you could also take that a step further and make them into "capital ships" so they could take advantage of the "level up" feature and give each class of strike craft up to 4 different abilitys to choose from. I like alot of your ideas, but it seems like this would be an overkill in micro-managing, by the time you were done upgrading all your strike craft there could be a giant fleet up your ass. also this is somethin like 4000 years in the future i'm pretty sure there wouldn't be any dumbfired rockets and most of the refit operations would likely be automated, the tech also uses lasers on some of there ships so you could replace the cannons on some of the strike
I see where you're coming from, but the ships in the mod don't do loops or anything extreme they just don't sit there and wait to get blown up. like they'll fly toward an enemy ship shoot at, fly pass it, then turn around and attack again. The large ships like caps, carriers, seige, coloney and LRM frigates wouldn't/don't do those manuvers. Oh and you don't hav to use the effect on all the frigates because in the mod it is applied individualy

actully the novas are mentioned in 2 books first strike and ghosts of onyx and in first strike they said they were goin to use them to level the playing field against the covenant. but i already hav my nova where it will vaporise ANYTHING including my own an friendly forces.
heres an idea, we give the ability to a corvette type ship that takes max research from both tech trees and takes a long time to build that way the ship is really weak and the covenant can stop it with a few fighter squads before it reaches the planet

oh yeah and since the vasari arent in my mod i used the phase missles as the plasma torpedos i just replaced the particle files and edited their sting so now on the infocard it says: Average Point Laser Damage: 88 Average Plasma Torbedo Damage: 800 its pretty cool oh yeah and the UNSC looks sometin like this: Average AutoCannon Damage: 45 Average Archer Missle Damage: 175
yup, there actully the covenant's primary weapon the ability is like incindiary shells i just edited the icons damage an description.

Hey guys. I've been workin on my own halo mod. (ive asked to help with this mod several times but have been ignored[e digicons]:annoyed:[/e] ) but ive replaced the tec with the UNSC and the advent with the covenant. i've removed sheilds and lasers from all tec ships, i replaced sheilds with more armor and lasers with missles

has no one here downloaded the "phase scouts" mod cuz to me this slipstream ability sounds exactly like it. u send ur scout ships around and they have the ability to make a permanent phase stabalizer node on any planet they visit so u can bypass phase lanes and jump straight to a target.
