I meant without paying for the expansions again

I just want to know if anyone who own Entrenchment plays the original any more (and the reasons). I also want to know if anyone plays past versions of Sins/Sins Entrenchment because they don't like the updates. The only reason I'll ever load the original is to look at the title screen with the original opening music or to play on a computer that I can barely run the original on and won't dare try the expansion.
I know that Stardock/Ironclad will release a box once all three micro expansions are out (aka, after Obama's second term :P), but I want to know if I'd be able to purchase a box if I've already bought the expansions digitally. This has probably been addressed somewhere else, but I can't find it if it has.
I was playing against a hard vasari ai, and the theory of them waiting for me to move is out because at first I had no ships there, so they could've wiped me. Then, when I saw them congregating I built defenses, then a brought my fleet over after a while. Also, I thought that unfair AI only gave them an economic advantage. There's unfair advantages that work inside the game, but being able to see your enemy's planets for free should be outside the scope of that.
For the progress bar, yes it does show up. As for the updating somewhere else, I know you can do that for MMO's, but I have no idea with other games.
I think that the biggest not random map should have all of them (given you don't have really bad luck), but I'm not sure because I don't exactly have the time to play anything that big.
This is unfortunate, as netbooks are a major market that they have available, which continues to grow. I spend more time away from home that at it, and am probably going to buy a netbook soon so I can compute without carrying much weight. It would be nice to be able to play Sins on it, too. I really love the game, and would love to take it with me. Would you rather me fall back on my DS for portable entertainment? That's going to mean more of my
I watched the replay and it whenever I hit alt through the AI's eyes it showed the blue "I want to jump there" lines.
I just quit a game because I was waiting 40 minutes for an enemy fleet to attack me (I knew because of the advent culture tech). I watched them that entire time trying to get into formation to jump. Some times they were this close, and then got jumbled up again. After that time was up I decided to attack them myself, even though defending would have almost certainly spelled victory, and was demolished upon arrival. Because I suffered such a major defeat (the pips that repr
Ender is mostly right, including with the pause function. I actually have some say for that though. If a game is built for time based play wouldn't pausing and telling your empire what to do be counted as cheating? As for directional armor, I'm not completely sure, so I can't and won't say one way or another. Same for Z axis, there used to be a control. Then they took it out. I think it's back in though. I also have some suggestions for new players in general.
Actually, CenturionJixra, Sins is supposed to be a TBS in real time, not completely focused on war (although the story does lend itself to be moreso that). Which is why the diplomacy controls are frustrating. I was actually wondering if any of you know a mod that would work around this.
The current diplomacy system actually is hampering the way I play a bit. I'd turn on locked teams, but I want this to be more of the empire building game that was intended than the war game that we have. Any ideas on how to work around the current system or how to bide my time until the expansion is out?
Thanks for asking, and I have a couple ideas: 1. Let us win without blowing our opponents to smitherines! 2. Have pirates work intelligently. If Empire A is weakly defended and offers 1000 credits where Emipre B is strongly defended and only offers 800 credits the pirates attack A because they know they'll suffer less losses. Possibly even make them their own small entity with their own economy and ability to 'corrupt' your society. 3. Make the Black Market h
I'm wondering why everyone's concentrating on the Vasari instead of the Advent. They're practically brainwashed to hate the TEC and would never ally with them unless they were 100% sure they'll be destroyed without an alliance (which makes it kinda funny when you ally in game), and even then they might not.
Maybe neutral mines should only be able to be taken over after a starbase is built in the gravity well? You would still have to use the other ships to control them.
That wouldn't work because neutral mines are also outside of the expansion.
