You can't in Galaxy Forge. You must do it in notepad after the rest of the map is finished. (Opening it up in GF after editing in notepad erases the changes I think.) Look at one of the default maps like Ancient Gifts that have it to see how. [e digicons]:fox:[/e]
Gees - The Monk really knows how to aggrevate people doesn't he. This is at least the SECOND brainiac who has had a go on the forums that I have seen (there may be more).
Saw one in the older thread, but I don't know if they were ever kicked out. Some people just don't like to see others helping out.
BTW - check out the Karma difference. Is there ANYONE with higher Karma then The Monk???
Depends on the site. On sins right now, I see the_Monk at 7

Right on the money!
what will happen to everyone who isn't using Impulse yet
The world domination comes somewhere around Impulse Phase 10, remember? [e digicons]:fox:[/e]
I usually get two resource missions if I do the first as soon as it pops up. [e digicons]:fox:[/e]
Perhaps they wanted to just try something different. Doesn't mean they're not good at it. [e digicons]:fox:[/e]

My way is to go in, nuke everything, then either take and hold it, or let them have to rebuild from scratch. I once saved a planet at 1%, but then they steamrolled it... [e digicons]X([/e] [e digicons]:fox:[/e]
Are you using 1.09? (Start the game and see what's in the bottom right corner of the menu.) [e digicons]:fox:[/e]
linky thing button is broke
Nah. You have to highlight the text before you can insert the link now. As a bonus, it doesn't change everything to "WWW Link" anymore. [e digicons]:fox:[/e]
How do I turn on the turrets to fire at ftrs? What file do I open and what line to I change and what editor do I use? Notepad?
Let's see... First, you need the Forge Tools from the downloads section. (Or a mod that already changed the files.) Second, open up the files that go like PlanetModulePhaseMissileDefense.entity / PlanetModuleTechGaussDefense.entity / PlanetModulePsiBeamDefense.entity (Something like that.) using notepad.
loses 1.5 shield points per second
That sounds like the Advent Destra Crusader's (Their Heavy Cruiser) passive ability Ruthlessness. (The ability also has to be researched.) Are you using 1.05? The Rapture's Domination ability doesn't reset that and so that cruiser will continue to damage your fleet. Was fixed in 1.09 I believe. [e digicons]:fox:[/e]
Uh... could you post a screenshot?
It's no fun to see my Mars blue
I think that would be very interesting. [e digicons]:fox:[/e]
Edit: What Annatar said, only not as well written. A massive economy is quite viable against the AI, though. It's quite something to jump a bounty from 0 to 200,000 in one go. [e digicons]:fox:[/e]
In Impulse, use the blue orb menu and uncheck "Show pre-release versions". Then you should be able to uninstall, then reinstall and patch to 1.05. [e digicons]:fox:[/e]
would you be able to reply from there?
Probably not, but it would link to the threads I think. Unfortunately, I only know next to nothing about them. [e digicons]^_^[/e] [e digicons]:fox:[/e]

I'm in. Feel free to run screaming now. [e digicons]:fox:[/e]
Because people keep talking about Impulse. I believe you can set up an RSS feed to view only what you want, though. [e digicons]:fox:[/e]
Yep. Basically, don't overextend your forces. Expand to fast, and you leave yourself open to attack. If you're good at defense and diplomacy, then you can survive long enough to build an entire fleet and do tons of research with almost no planets. [e digicons]:fox:[/e]
