I agree that some ships could be made to move, but as another posted - in all the movies I have never seen any ship - even a transport - go into a dogfight. Regarding Homeworld - I used to love issuing move orders and then targetting an enemy. It was so much easier to do which really added to its gameplay. That said, I don't think fighter movement sets will do much for the mod as it is now. Also, anyone notice how much faster the cap ships are than in the "classic" sta

I actually copied the imperial march ogg file and renamed it the one that had the weird imperial march remix. Or was it the emperor palpatine theme? Either way, I didn't really like the remix (far too slow-beat for the game). So now imperial march plays twice as much and lemme tell ya it freaking rules. I'd love to help on the sound front if that's something needed :)

Do you "own" your copy of sins? (don't be ashamed if you don't) Yes, I own it. Physical disc. Do you own entrenchment? Yes, downloaded a month ago. Let say you were to divide you time between Vanilla and Entrenchment sins, what percentage of time do you play Vanilla or Entrenchment? 100% Entrenchment now. Roughly how many hours a day do you play Sins (either)(count mutliplayer also)? <

This may be a dumb idea, but what about a SSD or Death Star for the starbase? The SSD could be given movenent like the Vasari Ork. I must say this mod is brilliant, though. I do get some crashes in game, but I reduced effects from all highest to all high, and this seems to have alleviated the problem. Also, what about getting some more music into the gae? There's so many great tracks that could be included! Jason, great job.

Oberth would keep it more with the TNG+ theme of the mod, I do agree. However, when I started my first ever game w/this mod an saw 8 or so Constitutions sitting there, I didn't know whether to cry or jizz in my pants. So I did both.

I like the music, but find I have audio stutter issues with the DS9 opening sequence at the main menu. Anyone else noticing this? Playing the file on its own in WMP works fine w/only a couple minor stutters. Maybe the file size is too great? or it's encoded differently? The SW Requiem mod has zero stuttering for me... Also - Transformers tracks? lol nice. If you guys are open to outside music, I recommend the Rome:Total War soun

Hey can anyone direct me to a working download location? The download link in the 1st post is broken, and the mirror posted above only pops up with advertisements and attempts to install spyware/adware, which McAfee is blocking. I have yet to find a way to get around this to actually download the file :(

I used to be all about pc's. But let me tell ya - it's GREAT not having to be tied down to any one location. I can game anywhere I want. And if I feel like going outside, I just close the lid and move the laptop and power adapter outside while Sins is still running. Good times!

I opened the files you suggested, Mooster, but the only thing I could find was "show all bars" and it referenced a keyboard ID. There didn't seem to be a way to set it to a certain key (unless I knew the ID) and set it to toggle on/off. So even if I did reassign the key, my guess is I'd still need to hold the button down. Looks like tape is the official winner!

From my understanding, you're allowed to download and update SINS twice per cd key, but can only log on to Ironclad once per cd key. Downloading and updating more than twice or logging into Ironclad more than once could flag your key and void it... So which of those two did you do? I'm curious myself because I have two friends that I'd like to do a LAN party with, but am afraid to patch the game two more times on two other computers for fear that what happen

I have a similar configuration - dual core 2.5ghz with 2x8800 gtx's. When I first played the game, it actually hung after playing for about 30 minutes. I thought it'd re-sync, but suddenly my monitor went blank. Keyboard unresponsive - a good old fashioned hangup. I installed the latest video drivers and so far I haven't had any problems after 1.5 hours of gameplay. I'm running SLI in AFR1, btw.

Well, I can see a fleet of Guardians, Radiance Battleships, and Progenitor Motherships causing some major issues for you. The Guardians spread damage, while the Radiance forces everyone to attack it (coupled with armor upgrades), and the Progenitor uses its shield recharge ability and malice targeted on your cap ships. That's a pretty devastating combo and will mean it will likely outlast your fleet. Have you tried getting the fleet to jump into one of your worlds? If you can get the

You can "sort of" guard ships. Select the guarding ship, then right-click the ship you want guarded. You can then move the guarded ship around, and the guarding ship will follow - even through phase lanes. The trick is also setting its engage distance to "local area" instead of "gravity well". Otherwise, your guards will go wild with bloodlust while your poorly guarded ship is destroyed.

And by "taking over an enemy's colony," I'd love to actually gain control of that world. All logistical and tactical structures are prettymuch the same (except for hangars in terms of tac slots). Why can't the whole system be converted over to me? I hate having to go and colonize a world that's been culturally cleansed. Where'd all the people who liked my culture go?!
