How does a huge ship, dwarfing even the largest of capitals, bundled together with an artificial singularity generator capable of wiping out entire fleets in one shot sound? Cool enough?
I'm strangely comfortable with this concept. :CONGRAT:

Thanks guys. Since the first post I have been consistantly beaten the AI on normal, I guess it's time to up the anti. What do you guys recommend? Should I go to a 3 or 4 player match next or up the difficulty level. I'm thinking of upping the difficulty to hard. Any thoughts? I know I have one vote for taking on two AI. :)
Congrats Now try to take on two
NO!! NOOOOO!!!! LOL
I'm taking it pretty slow. I played my first game on normal and got totally owned by the AI. So I switched to easy and I was able to learn the game mechanics better without having to worry about the AI stomping me 20 minutes into the game. So I played two or three games on easy then wend to a map on normal. Like I said, the AI ended up with every other planet colonized and they kept sicking those damn pirates on me!! So I concentrated on getting two more capital ships and just surviving. T
I like the idea of the burnt out shells of former space stations with an option when the planet is recolonized to scuttle them or restore them if they are of the same tech. For scuttling them you would get a minor amount of raw materials back. And to restore them it would cost like 5 or 10 percnet less than normal. As far as dead ships floating around... I think that would probably take up too much processor power... unless... I got it!! They float in the gravity well for a couple t
Yah... I know... for all you guys out there who know how to play the game who are rolling your eyes... this is a big deal for me ok!! LOL I'm not very good at these types of games. So I'm happy that I was able to beat the AI.... it's a first step in getting better at this game. It was a small map with only 9 planets and 1 AI... but I almost lost and was able to come back and win it. It felt pretty good. Thanks for reading.... and I look forward to having
Here is a little update: the first model I created for the new race. The textures need a bit of touching-up here and there. The name of the race will be Xin.Top:Bottom:Front:A bit of lore. The ship in question is the Xin "Feeler" Scout Analog. This is actually the only Xin craft which flies completely without crew. Instead an autonomous creature is gestated at a Breedery, then provided with an artificial exoskeleton, armor plating (in addition to its natural scaled hide resistant to the rig
ahh... sorry ... I didn't know that.
This is a 'simulation'. The only reason they call it 'real time' is because you don't wait for each person to take their turn. It is a gaming term, not a reference to actual time. The real time it would take to actually take over an entire Solar system or set of systems would be measured in the hundreds of years. Just a thought. edit: Sorry, to stay on topic. I would love the see the game with z axis. As long as you could place structures and deffense platforms st
No, there is no published Sins guide.
Thanks for the info. Now the next question is... is there going to be a published Sins Guide?
Hello? Is this the Sins of a Solar Empire forum? LOL A guide to Sins of a Solar Empire. :)
I think that a report system could help ALOT more than an ignore or ban system though, mabey if 3 people in a room report them it bans them from that room. Or mabey if you get reported you get a warning msg from the system that lets you know what they reported you for and how many warnings you have left....
The only problem with an automated reporting system is that it can't tell when a report is justified or not. I'm sure alot of people have had the experience of being
Hey there, I was just wondering if there is a actual profesional printed strategy guide for this game out there. Like the ones you find with WoW or GTA IV and stuff. Thanks, FrostMage
Sins is soooo hard to play!! :p I am getting my butt handed to me every time I play. :D I need alot more practice I guess. Halo... meh... just another shooter.
You need to enter a name for your savegame in order to save it.
Alright... so I just start typing? I didn't see the save dialoge box but I'll check it out again. Thanks. :)
Hi there, I did a search but I couldn't find anything on this issue. I started a single player game last night and I was really enjoying it. It got very late so I decided to save and continue today. But when I went to save the button was greyed out and I couldn't. So I had to just quit the game and now I'll have to start over. Is this a known issue and if so... is there a fix for it. I have upgraded to the latest patch. Thanks
