I think that SINS should have a dark ending. I'm tired of happy endings where everyone wins and gets along. The game is called Sins of a Solar Empire. Hell, remember the trailer? Foreshadowing galore: "I'm more a merchant than I am a soldier...but the choice is not always mine to make." "We survive, for now. But I fear the sins of our past have damned us to extinction." I think a cliffhanger in which the future does not look b

No, no, no, no, no. I do NOT want a SupCom FA-esque ending. NO. :( I would much rather see some crazy apocalyptic cliffhanger in which the Vasari, who have inadvertantly been leaving a trail for their persuers in the forum of phase jump disruptors (which were developed by the race chasing the vasari), are consumed and assimilated by the unknown race while the TEC is on the verge of collapse, following which both the Advent and TEC millitary leaders are killed, leaving th
Most people prefer to play single-player only.
This is true, I enjoy a good, long single player sins game. Anyway, way to go ironclad and stardock! It's great that the first release from ironclad sold so well, after all, it's a great game. I'm hoping to see more from them.
Steam, but better.
Remember, kids, caps lock makes you eloquent and convincing.
Speak english?
When will we see a campaign? There's so much to work with for a campaign.
Online translators are bad.
Yeah, but I didn't want to take up too much space.
Ice, because crystal is scarce and I nearly always play TEC. A TEC ice planet with tundra farms is a nice income generator :D.

Make sure bloom is enabled. I'm running it on 3.2ghz dual core, 8800 gts g92, 4 gigs DDR2. Settings all maxed, 1280x960.
Assuming you have an ogg codec installed so you can play them in a media player, you can dig into the sound folder and find all the music to SoaSE. This thread is for listing your favorite ones. My personal favorites: Upbeat 1 Vasari 2 TEC theme TEC 4 Advent Battle 2 It's funny, though, I have never heard TEC 3 or TEC 4 ever played in game.
Nukes, I'd have to disagree with you here. You do not directly control massive fleets in EVE. You do not take over planets and build populations on them in EVE. EVE is in no way an empire game, and trying to disguise it as such is misleading. SINS is a strategy game, EVE is an MMO, and they are two completely separate types of game.
It has something to do with phase space. It was created at a transport lab, and the vasari more than any other race have been toying with phase space (stabilizer nodes, phase out hull, phase jump inhibitors, etc).
That image is absolutely EPIC. They need to put that in the Downloads section so people can download that image.
Well, I uploaded it to the SoaSE wiki a while back along with some other shots i've taken (which is the version I linked), but it only accepts crappy .jpg's :( Taking epic screenshots of various games I play is a bit of a hobby for me :D
You're not going to spot anything significant Most of the changes have been models for strike craft being re-done. The TEC's capital shipyard was redone a bit.I think ship textures are also shaded a little differently. The major difference is explosions, but those can't really be captured well in a screenshot. All in all, though, other than the clearly different explosions, the changes are not what you'd call substantial
Explosions can't be captured in a screenshot? I'd have to say my favorite is the TEC, simply because I love the rugged, no-nonsense look of their ships, and because the Dunov Battlecruiser is a fucking beast late game if paired with a Kol and some hoshikos. My second favorite is Vasari because phase missile swarm is amazingly good.
Microsoft has nothing to do with SoaSE. And I doubt stardock is going to just "shut down" the online service any time soon. Look at wc3, it's been up for years.
I think I have been misunderstood. I would not intend for Destroyers to be next to Capital Ships. Heavy Cruisers would still be the heavy hitters of any fleet outside of caps. Destroyers would be specialty combat vessels, designed for cutting through support cruisers and frigates. They wouldn't hit as hard as HC's, but they would be much faster and be well equipped for quickly taking out ships such as the subverter. And the only real way that they would fit in is a b
Graphics: I want many (if not all) ships to lose size in relation to capital ships, namely cruisers. A bit of maneuvering during combat would be nice. Ships should not become bright gray when you zoom out in cinematic mode. Cinematic mode should make distant planets appear as dots for the sake of screenshots. Planets should be slightly bigger. Combat: This is the main catagory that needs improvement, in my opinion. More
Does anyone know who composed the soundtrack for SoaSE? It's top notch, in my opinion. In fact, I find it quite a bit better than Supreme Commander, and that was Jeremy Soule.
If you're having virtual memory problems, that means that the computer is running out of RAM and using the HDD (which is MUCH slower) as a replacement. To remedy this, but 1 or 2 GB more RAM. If you have a PCIE slot, the best bang for the buck you can get with a card these days is either an 8800 GT or an 8800 GTS g92.
