How could you have more than 16 capital ships? But that's beside the point. Was it just the Aeria Drone Hosts that were phase jumping, or did you order the whole fleet to move?

I don't see how the 'ten-millenia journey' could be realistic. That seems like a little too much journeying.
Warderin, don't magnetic shields exist already? Isn't that what the researchers use to contain the tiny amounts of antimatter they can create?
I copied that link to the browser. Turns out it does exist; it leads to a bunch of posts, mostly about problems with Impulse. I didn't actually look at the posts, but the titles were more or less the same. Maybe this is what spooked you? Because I don't think you need Impulse for Sins of a Solar Empire.
Choose between TEC, Advent, Vasari, Pirates, and Space Ponies. I'm not sure if I really have one from a storyline point of view. I usually go with the TEC because they're the humans in the game, but they kicked a lot of people off of their homeplanet, for god's sakes! Just because they were 'deviants' doesn't mean they can just show up and do something like that. (And they still think that was the best thing to do? Looks like we're never gonna get civilized (:
You'd think that in the future, pirates would be literate enough to talk properly.
Yeah, ramming would be awesome  I can imagine it now... "Captain, sir! We've almost destroyed the enemy Akkan battlecruiser, and their support vessels are all destroyed!" "Very good Number One. Let's get out the beer and celebrate the deaths of all the nuns, puppies, and cute little babies in that colony ship!" "Yes sir!" ..... "Number One, what are they doing?" "They're aiming themselves directly at us! Oh noes, it's a LAST DITCH EFFORT!!" "Damn, I hate t
I agree with you Raging Amish, my first capital ship is a colonizer and then I build little underling ships. Usually I go the way of the TEC, so I build 10 little Cobalts. Of course, once I find asteroid belts or other neutral mines I have to upgrade to the next cap :( Oh well.
Maybe if you gave a cloaked missile a preprogrammed heading to follow to reach an enemy ship, it wouldn't need to see. But that's the only use I can think of for a cloaking device, and I don't think it's worth the cost.
Hey wanderer, I'm just wondering: did you notice that the subject we're talking about is 'what do you guys think space warfare should be like'? We're talking about what we imagine space combat would be like, in our imaginations, not what it is going to be like. To paraphrase what you seem fond of saying, I find your lack of focus disturbing. Are you a Star Wars fan? Now to say something for the discussion: why is it that we've all steered away from something many space fan
