The issue is that 64-bit CPU's are the standard now, I don't think even the budget CPU's in budget computers on the shelf now are even x86 CPU's. The standard for most games is to at least use two cores on a CPU, and some even more. RAM, CPU and GPU are all vital bottlenecks in game speed (to some degree HDD as well). If you have a current GPU but DDR2 RAM and a single core CPU, you are not going to get all you can from modern games. If you have a comput

Des pretty much sums it up. I've played since the last update for maybe 3-4 huge map games. The super cheat AI really is a put off. It'd be nicer if the AI was smarter, not just able to throw more ships at me. Though I do admit, the AI is improved in Diplomacy and give credit where it is due. Pirates are an entire rant unto themselves, they seem to have gone from too weak to OMGWTFPWN strong. Right now, I just can't feel motivated to play the game myself with the i
It's been a few months since anyone has said anything, it's been quite a while since 1.01 was released I believe, 6 months maybe? Saying you would "like" to do something and being able to do so are two very different things. I'd love to go out and add two extra monitors to my setup, but if my budget is limited and unable to allow me to do so then that is simply that. A dev can only really do what they're budgetted for, and if the publisher has only budgetted x amount, then you have to work ar
No offense, but this kind of thing is making me lose faith in smaller dev companies. Same thing happened with Space Empires 5, dev focused on a new project and patches stopped all together. I'm not saying the support has been poor, because the patches and expansions have been great, but when devs speak of "very busy times" it usually means a new project which means the old game is pretty much shelved/considered finalised due to funding/budgeting limitations as well as timeframe constraints.</
I'm guessing with nothing in over 2 months about a patch, this is pretty much either on a very far backburner or dead in the water?
I'd say don't hold your breath. I'm pretty disappointed and have given up on Sins, it just isn't getting the love it deserves from it's devs. I mean, not even a post to say, hey we're busy working on a patch here?
So it's now been 9-10 weeks since the last patch, no mention of a new one and very little from any devs or mods. Is there anything coming for Sins or has the bank run dry?
Hi guys, Having an issue when trying to convert Entrenchment .2's entity files from GameInfo into txt files where ConvertData.exe will crash trying to convert quite a few of the files there. I am using Vista 64 ultimate if that is known to cause any issues, otherwise I can't think of anything. Complete fresh install of Sins yielded same results.
