Make sure the planet is set to homeplanet = true

I've gotten errors with GF too, I get this error "c:\docume~1\joey\locals~1\temp\sins dump\sins-v1.05-2008-07-13-12-42-01-304-3952.dmp" Whenever I try to even PLAY my maps, before I load in I get that error. So yeah, Sins is messed up right now. But your problem sounds more like something wrong with Sins not the map itself.

You might need to update your version of sins

I'm not running windows vista though, and I can see the maps I make, I just get the error I mentioned above when I try to run them

Yes to get more capital ships you got to the research tab and it is the third button down and the top is how many capital ships and the bottom is how much fleet supply you get. =D

Okay, so I recently bought sins of a solar empire and my friend did as well.
