Copyright law is one of those things that fascinates me to no end. It also infuriates me for many reasons. As an aside, here's an interesting video on Copyright within some other industries: http://www.ted.com/talks/johanna_blakley_lessons_from_fashion_s_free_culture?language=en As well, here's a somewhat famous author talking about piracy as well:

Sorry to resurrect a dead horse, but was this ever solved? I am currently having this problem in my Rebellion game. I made a custom map with 5 stars on it and I cannot see the other stars to travel to. I could have sworn I had this problem in the last version as well, and that it was solved (or it was why I quit playing, until it was solved, I can't remember, it's been a while). Any help would be appreciated.
Damn. I'd like to order it, but with my house renos taking precedence right now, I can't squeeze out the extra funds. Heh, I would like it less for the "toys" and more for the music cds and the hardcover case to sit next to the other SINS Collectors Edition I have... I'm surprised it doesn't come with an artbook or anything, but in a way I'm glad. Now I don't have to feel really crappy about not ordering it, only slightly crappy
Yeah, I saw that I could get them that way. I just wanted them all on Steam without having to repurchase them again. It's good to hear about the new updater, though!
Hey everyone, I was just wondering if there were activations for the older games on Steam without having to purchase the games again, so that I don't have to use Impulse for 1 set and then Steam for the new one? I foggily remember being given out Steam Activation Codes for the older purchased games back when Impulse was sold. Am I right? Is this tied to my account in some way? Thanks Jon
Thanks very much. I was just doing a bit of reading as to modding and such, but I think I'm gonna have to wait till I get home and have the program in front of me before I get started, heh. It looks pretty in depth as to what you can do. As long as everything is relatively easy to understand, I'll try my hand at doing some simple things. I should probably see what others have done as well...
Hey guys, I'm new to the modding community and I have a couple of questions about what is allowed with the mod tools. 1. I have found playing the game that with large maps, you easily max out the tech trees and then you are essentially "done" beyond killing the opponents who have also maxed their trees. Is it possible to extend the tech tree/add new techs or trees/add new "levels" to individual abilities? 2. Can you add "tech trees" to ship types individually
